Verify Bank Account Info?

I got an email from ebay saying that they couldn't verify my bank account info. It is the *same* bank account I've had for four years. What gives?

I've heard of people getting their accounts suspended after they receive notifications like this. I'm freaking out. I selected the micro deposit option because my bank isn't available on the first option, but I don't want to wait 2-4 business days to resolve this!

Same issue and the Ebay Teammates are clueless! I been calling them for 5 days straight and the only solution they offer is wait 48 hours and try again or go open a new checking account!

I got the same message and didn't mean to respond but somehow they say they have started the process. I have been using this account and getting deposits for well over a year. What is going on? Why do I need to re-verify? I am seriously worried now. Is this legitimate?

I also received a message from eBay that they will be making two microdeposits so I can easily verify my bank account. The message claims "so you'll be all set to receive payouts". But I have been receiving payouts for some time without any issues. Such microdeposits are normally used to allow someone to withdraw money from a bank account, not to make deposits. I think eBay is trying to get me to setup a direct link to my bank account in order to setup a payment method for fees and selling costs. It's a legitimate use, but they are not being clear about it and frankly their message is deceptive. Shame on you eBay!

I’d also like to add that the funds get put on hold until they verify your banking info. For me, they requested my actual bank statement with purchase history and account number. It will NOT give me the choice of micro deposits the second time around. I recently verified this account and am being asked to do it again. I can not withdraw my earned money either. So, I just sold an item, received positive feedback and can not get paid for my item until they have my personal bank statement… Are they out of their minds? I am close to closing my account.
