After thinking I was all set for MP, eBay ended my listings a few weeks ago because my bank account wasn't verified. That was a gut punch but turned out to be easier to fix than I thought. So, I opened a new account. Thinking, "nice clean slate, easy link up, and drive on." NOPE! Several attempts have failed at getting the microdeposits to my bank. The last rep I chatted with recommends that I open a new account (a different organization maybe??) This should not be necessary at all. I have spent a lot of time searching and reviewing threads related to this. I try to find current threads so I can get an idea of how many people are having similar problems. There have been 3 that the original post was early in 2021 but responses late in the year but, a moderator has ended responses to the thread based on the age. That makes it difficult to easily get an idea of how many sellers are still having problems like this. It seems that many people have the same or very similar issues but, with so many eBay users, I wonder if the percentage of those of us having problems is not large enough to be of any consequence. We may be "acceptable losses" as far as eBay is concerned. As for me, and as for now, I have been and will continue to ship products to customers that have paid. That is fine for me but not for all sellers. I guess I have faith that it will get resolved eventually and, since the type of product I sell may be mission critical to my buyers, it seems to be the correct path for now. I have money in limbo as of this writing and, for the 5th time, I will contact eBay and attempt a resolution after I post this. I am posting this to get responses from others who are still having problems with getting their bank verified or similar issues. By the way, I have had two payouts to this new account completed already.

not exactly the same issue that i have had, but here it is....
new eBay account, trying to link bank account that I have been using for years.
the bank info just wasn't getting verified. 5-6 eBay reps and about 6 weeks later, the eBay rep asked me how many digits were in my my account #. It was more of guessing for him at that point.
Anyway, my bank account (even though was established), had 7 digits (? think it was 7?) and eBay software would not recognize it as an account #.
Once I linked a different account # that contained 13 digits or so, everything went smooth.

Contact your bank and see if there is a different routing or account number you need to use.

I have checked with them already. The only thing that may be an issue is that they told me they don't accept transactions from outside of US. I didn't think that would be an issue since I have already received a couple of payouts from eBay to that account. However, if the micro transactions originate from elsewhere, that may be the hurdle.

Thank you! It's so odd that information like that is out there, yet, I had not found it. If I fail to get the micro transactions this time around, I will use that contact information. I can already tell it will be better because the wait times are much longer than the others I have contacted. That may sound foolish but I think there is a correlation. Not only that, it may also hint to the number of others who are experiencing problems like this.

You have been receiving Payouts from Ebay into this account?? How many so far? Why do they now need to do micro deposits, clearly they have already verified that your account is properly attached?

The CS agent I spoke with last told me they (the micro deposits) were a "different" kind of transaction. I should have followed up by asking how they were different but, I didn't. I have received 3 payouts so far. I'm certain I received the last payout after contacting CS and doing whatever we did then and that may be true for the first two but I don't recall. I can understand why it still needs to be done but I don't think there is anything else I can do to facilitate it.

They're doing something weird because I just got the same request to verify my bank account after I've been getting payouts into it with no issue for almost a year.

I got nothing for this. It simply doesn't make sense.

The other member has is relatively new to MP, so it is different for you. Since you've been in for about a year, it is likely they are just doing a random check. Watch your Seller Hub for that red flag on the subject.

That is interesting and may be my issue as well. My account number is 7 digits as well. I will look in to that. Thank you.
