Verification of identity and banking information still **bleep**!

RELUCTANTLY, a couple of months ago I sent EBay a copy of my bank statement and photo ID and patiently waited for my money.  Yesterday, I saw on the site that they still had the dreaded red notice saying they wanted the same thing.  I got onto CHAT and this is what the person told me >

I have reviewed your account details thoroughly. I found out that the documents that you have provided for the verification doesn't have your full personal details and last 3 month's transactions. I would request you to download your bank statement from your bank's site and upload its PDf for this verification.

THREE MONTHS OF ALL MY BANKING TRANSACTIONS!!!!!  Why would I have to or should I show them all of my payees and amounts for 3 months??  Is this part of the 87,000 coming IRS  agents?  This has NOTHING to do with verifying my account, which I've already given them.

Looks like, until your recent sales, you havent sold anything for a year. So Ebay is treating you as a new seller, and your funds will be held. They want identity verification to make sure your acct hasnt been hacked. We see this three month bank verification in here more and more frequently.

I wonder what they do if they get the 3 months bank statements and there are almost no transactions on them? The bank I use for this is not used by me for anything ever ... might have a small interest received monthly and a couple of eBay sales and that is it. Would they reject me because I don't use this bank for anything?

I still think they are gathering stats to contemplate rolling out the Adyen Bank for all sellers and buyers someday.
