Those who linked Payoneer

eBay now suddenly claims they don't accept Bank Statements issued by Payoneer for their Payoneer virtual accounts, and want the own bank statement.....

If you had your payoneer linked, which Statement you provided? The one provided by Payoneer, which you can download from their website? Or you had to get another? Because Payoneer claims the bank account holder (Citibank in their case) cannot provide directly a statement because it's a virtual account.

But now eBay says they don't accept Statements issued by Payoneer........but then how they linked the accounts ?????

Yes, the issue is from Payoneer side, they do work with eBay, but from eBay side, they also claim they accept Payoneer......but the issue is they don't allow you to use Payoneer!!

What I deducted after wasting months with eBays repst and their each one's different reply THIS is the problem:

eBay does NOT allow you to link a bank account in a different country than the one of residence (even thou it is perfectly LEGAL to have accounts in foreign countries, no need to state the obvious), because of a problem with their Payment Manager verification page.

You will only notice this, depending on which link you use to change or add a bank account (if you go through only one specific, the window to add the bank info will PRE FILL the country data, in my case an IBAN number which starts with the country's international code, being FR, ES, IT, etc....).

Of course, the error message claiming they don't accept that bank, should be "we don't accept a bank not in your home country" to avoid the confusion.

So, basically, eBay does NOT WORK with Payoneer, unless you live in Ireland, because Payoneer accounts are based in Ireland. Therefore, the ONLY way to use Payoneer, is to open a new eBay account based in Ireland, for which you have to get a legal address in that country, for later adding a Payoneer account to the Payment Manager.

And this is still speculation, I don't even know if it will work.

What I do know, and to make it more confusing and complicated, is eBay ORIGINALLY accepted my Payoneer account and they linked it to my PayMan system. But then when they requested to verify my Identity (again) to compare it to the bank, they didn't want to accept Payoneer's verification, so I had to change my bank account......and now they refuse to link back my Payoneer account.

This is the US board and we don't have payoneer.........you might do better asking on board where that info reach more payoneer users........perhaps the UK board.

What the ***** is wrong with eBay forums?

In the USA forum they say "this is the USA forum, we don't have payoneer, go to the UK forum"

and in the UK forum they say "this is the UK forum, we don't have payoneer, go to the USA forum"

Sort of sounds like USA CS reps, doesn't it?

You may have to get someone on the Manage Payments (Payments) forum, or resort to going to the 'ebay for business' on FB or Twit.  Most of us here on the Seller Forum are just lowly users (or worse) and have nothing to say about, or knowledge of, Payoneer.

Not saying 'NO' doesn't mean 'YES'.

Nothing wrong with these bards, just a poster thought UK may have Payoneer.

As USA, Canada, Australia and UK do not use Payoneer, try France or Netherlands or  another Eu board and they may be more help -

or contact Payoneer in your own country, I am guessing you will not tbe the only one they have had to help through the process for eBay.

You are incorrect saying basically Payoneer doesn't work unless you live n Ireland because Payoneer is based in Ireland.

PAYONEER  is a US owned company.

You reside in Croatia?

If you were told you have to link Payoneer to eBay what kind of eBay account do you have? Personal or business ? It matters.

If you have an eBay  business account your Payoneer account has to be a business Payoneer  account that is linked to a Croatia checking account.

AND true-they don't allow you to use Payoneer to pay for a purchase.  It will be used to receive your managed payments payout. A buyer pays using any one of the accepted methods and the proceds from their payment is put in your Payoneer account where you can move the payment to your bank account and withdraw the cash.

It takes 2-3 weeks for eBay to verify everything. You can't sell until you get the email that says you're account is activated or you're all set.
