Hello eBay,
Managed payments on eBay is horrendous. For those that are top rated sellers and must ship within 1 business day, why would you state in your policies that a payment could be reversed in up to 2 business days. That puts them at risk of losing their money and item after it is shipped out.
You wanted managed payments and to get rid of PayPal, then begin to follow just like the others. Mercari, Poshmark, Offer Up, Vinted, and all the other platforms give buyers 3 days to rate the seller or to begin processing a return, should they not be satisfied with their purchase.
Please incorporate the 3 day window after the item is delivered to buyers. After the buyer rates, then the funds are released and we can transfer them to our bank account.
By the way, eBay, the other platforms are taking over, my sales are increasing. Especially on Mercari, my sales are very well. eBay on the other hand is dwindling in sales, to the point, where it is not even feasible to be paying you for my basic store subscription.

Personally, I don't like the sound of that at all. What if the buyer doesn't rate? Just curious.

I don't know why this policy would be stated, nor where it is stated. Of course, that would put a seller at risk if they ship on Day 1 and allow payment reversal on Day 2. This 'policy' is non sensical and non existent. Where'd you hear of it?

If the buyer fails to rate, then the sale is completed and your funds are released. Much better as it doesn't put your funds on hold when there's a return initiated on eBay. You do know that your funds are on hold for up to 3 weeks on eBay anytime a return is initiated, right?
On the other platforms after 3 days has gone by, you can no longer return the item. Much more efficient way to work. I currently have a sale on my other eBay ID that a buyer started a return on Friday, March 26th. They have yet to return the item and my funds are on hold from future sales until this return is resolved.
How can I resolve the return efficiently if the buyer is taking their sweet time to return and then eBay allows a ridiculous time frame until April 12th for the buyer to return this item.
eBay is going backwards with the ease of making this a pleasant site to sell on.

Per another top rated seller on this "Payments" message board, this is exactly what happened to him. I'll look for the thread and copy and paste it here.

I can't find the thread, the seller could have deleted it or its way in the back of all the messages in the "Payments" section.

By the way, my other account is registered with managed payments and I totally dislike everything about it.
This account here, I'm still able to accept payments with PayPal and I have until April 30th to change over to MP, otherwise, I'll be restricted from posting and selling. I really don't want managed payments unless they make those changes of 3 days tops for a buyer to be able to return a purchase. After 3 days, returns are no longer accepted. I hate this "Your future payments are on hold until this return is resolved"

This is even more confusing than the bogus 'Payment Reversal' policy you mentioned earlier. Now, you're referring to an eBay change... nothing to do with Managed Payments. And buyers have had way longer than 3 days to open a Return on eBay for forever. Read the Money Back Guarantee.
I'm not suggesting you 'on board' with anything you're not comfortable with. MP is the change; eBay is a constant.

I'm revisiting what you posted as "that a payment could be reversed", and I'm wondering if you're referring to the lag time between a buyer's payment and your receipt of payment with MP? If so... in my experience, I've never had (nor have I ever heard of) a payment not go all the way through to 'Completed' once it begins 'Processing'. If eBay says it's time to ship... the money is on the way. My buyer's payments are my bank deposits in 4 business days.

Well I sincerely hope you don't have a $ 2,200 return. Your money will be tied up until the return is refunded and you will not have access to your money from any future sales. This never would have happened with PayPal and on top of that the 3 day window to return an item voids that on other platforms.
Our company had $ 2,200 tied up for over 23 days and the buyer choose to return the item on the last day of the return expiration date.
