I purchased a book but than I changed my mind and messaged the seller to cancel the order. The seller didn't respond to my message and the book still appeared in order history. I figured they shipped the book but the item says not shipped. I'm very confused and I don't know if the book is coming or not. I tried messaging again but I still received no answer. I want to cancel and get a refund but I'm unable to find a way to do that on ebay. Does anyone know what I can do?

When you purchase, you are purchasing from an individual; there is no 'ebay' system for cancelling (except the 1st hour); so you are doing what you can- emailing the seller. Some sellers are either too busy to see all messages in time, or overwhelmed with orders and know only to process and ship. You'll just have to wait and see what happens.

At this point just wait. Sellers are not obligated to cancel and some have systems in place that make it nearly impossible to cancel even when there's no tracking number yet.
If the seller cancels then great. If the seller doesn't cancel and ships then you either keep the book, gift it, donate it, resell it yourself, recycle it, or return it if the seller accepts returns. If the seller doesn't cancel and never ships then you file an item not received claim after the estimated delivery date has passed.

@Anonymous Changing your mind is considered a remorse reason, check the policies for this platform. A buyer cannot cancel a purchase, except within the first hour. Seller is not obligated to cancel your transaction. Seller is not obligated to respond to your request for a cancelation. Most likely seller will cancel but continuing to send messages probably won't work in your favor. Best to let it rest for now and see what the seller decides to do. Check the money back guarantee policy for your options. Best of luck to you....

Did you leave a negative feedback for the seller ? Already ? Because the won't cancel ? or reply to your message ? SMH in disbelief
If so that is not the way to contact any seller, and you will be highly unlikely to get any help from them now.
Please read eBay's protocols on this as the seller is NOT at fault here and does NOT deserve negative, so glad you posted here.

OP is in Canada and seller is in Australia. They probably didn't get a reply right away because of the time difference.
Having said that, the seller's FB is terrible and it looks like they're all but inactive. Their last few listings are leftover from last August and the seller may or may not have forgotten about them.

i wish i can but the thing is my product is possibly coming on august, the thing is that i want to have my product before summer vacation ends, and i wont have enough time to sell it, i think i got scammed out of 24 dollars. Please help, i want my money back and i can’t buy more giftcards, my parents wont allow me to. 😞
