A message from eBay will be in your eBay messages. You received that fake invoice after you expressed interest in a fraudulent listing outside of eBay, and gave your personal information to a scammer. 

eBay doesn't instruct you how to pay or what method to pay. They particularly do not instruct you to pay for an item with a gift card.

NO.  gmail.com is a free email service.  No legit business would use it.   If   your buying a car, truck or such, your being scammed.   If you were told to pay with gift cards, your being scammed.

eBay never assists in sales or payments of items listed on other sites.  It must be listed on eBay to be an eBay sale.  There is NO other way.
