So I was inactive from selling for over a year I come back with a new bank account still in the same name and address and link it to my ebay and I guess that's what triggered the account restriction. But after finally getting receipts for 3 of the 4 items sold in the last year I send ebay everything they asked for and they send me an email saying my account will remain indefinitely suspended. I have never gotten one complaint on ebay, they all leave me good feedback when I sell. The only thing I did differently in the last year was get a new bank. They paid me out 2 weeks before this restriction and then all of a sudden restricted. These buyers already got their items and im out of the item and the money now. Ebay won't respond to me on how I get my money. Please someone help me get my money.

Just got off the phone with ebay and my restriction is permanent. note to all sellers dont do business with this company they will steal your money and ban you for no reason, im just gonna have to eat the $2k loss. i have never violated a single ebay policy and never had a buyer return an item to me ever. they can sit and hide behind "Your account has been suspended because the pattern of activities we have witnessed present a risk to our eBay community." sent them everything they asked for and they still say im a risk and keep my money. MOD close this thread, and ebay go screw yourself.

After 90 days without activity, you're considered to be a new seller and as such, you have to prove yourself.

Nope. Because I did all of that. I proved myself by sending in my ID bank statement utility bill and then receipts to the items and they still restricted me indefinitely even tho no one has ever said they didn't receive what I shipped or that it was bad quality.

Another reason for the suspension from seller might be related to your feedback and the number of unhappy buyers.

There isn't a single unhappy buyer. I have like 2 negative feedback I think and that's because I canceled the order on one because he asked me to and the other wanted me to use a reship which I don't do.

You have posted here recently about this.
Did eBay not want some documentation for the multiple high dollar electronic items you sold?
12-11-2021 12:17 PM
Thats the thing. I sent them every document they asked for and then restricted my account indefinitely. And now my $2k is just sitting there unable to be collected and im out of my items

In their last post they stated that all the items that they sold were all "Gifts"....hmmm?🙄

That info doesn't mean you won't be responsible to comply to the rules for new or returning sellers.

I think it would be worthwhile for you to contact Ebay again. Listen to what they say very carefully. Are THEY actually saying you are "permanently" restricted or that you are simply restricted for now. There is such a huge difference between the two, so Hopefully this is just a miscommunication.
The info you supplied them does NOT allow you to get around the rule that I gave you a link above to. You still need to comply to it.

While that will help you with this situation, you STILL NEED TO COMPLY with the policy I gave you a link for a couple posts back.
You have TWO issues going on. One is you sold something over $1000, Two you are a returning seller after over 90 days away from selling. EACH of those things have ramifications. So while you may have resolved number one, you STILL have to comply with number TWO.

Best you start keeping those receipts. Next year if you sell $600+ you will get a 1099K for the year and the federal government will be expecting you to show it on your tax returns.

I understand the risk and would gladly wait a month for my money. I have already waited a month. I got an email on the day I was supposed to be paid out that I was restricted, they asked for documents and I sent everything. They then sent me this after I sent the documents. "eBay is built on trust, and we want our marketplace to be safe for both buyers and sellers. We reviewed your account because of concerns with your selling activity. Based on our review, we've taken the following actions on your account:
- Indefinitely removed your ability to sell. You can't use other accounts or register new accounts to sell on eBay. If you do, your accounts could be limited, restricted, or suspended.
- Removed any of your listings. A list of any removed items will be listed further down in this email.
- We have credited all associated fees except for payments processing fees and the final value fee for your listing(s).
You can still bid on items, buy, and complete transactions you have in progress.
If you think we’ve made a mistake, or someone has accessed your account without permission, please contact us as soon as possible." Based on my selling activities im a risk? Everything I submitted is in my name and my bank account and address match, my ID matches. Everything I sold was delivered to the buyers in 2 days and some even left reviews. They don't care about sellers anymore. They have said yes that it is indefinite and its final. I haven't violated any policy. I understand what your saying about a new rule, but that doesn't apply here. The only thing I did wrong was apparently link my new bank since in the last year I do not bank with the other bank I previously used.

And yeah I wasn't going to be using eBay in 2022 because I don't want to be responsible paying taxes on something I can't possibly get a receipt for because I buy it used to save money.
