Refunding fees?

Hi, I recently refunded 3 dollars to my buyer because of shipping adjunstments, thats what I wrote in the partial refund and it shows in my payment method "3 dollars sent, completed"

But if I go into the order details it says the following

Item subtotal$5.40
Shipping$9.10
Sales tax (eBay collected)$1.20
Discount$0.00
Refund -$3.25 (Any tax collected by eBay for this will be credited.)
Total**$12.4

I sent 3.00, and it shows 3.25?

So, how much am I being taken?

It appears that you sent $3.00 and eBay added an additional $0.25 for the sales tax from the $1.20 that they had previously collected on the $3.00.  So you gave $3 and eBay returned $0.25 and the buyer received $3.25.

I just think you misunderstand.  If you refunded $3.00, then it is very likely Ebay that added the other 25 cents for a sales tax refund.  The money would NOT be deducted from you.

As to your fees, Ebay does not refund fees on partial refunds for shipping.  They never have even before MP.
