So I just started selling on eBay last week. My account was made earlier this year. 8 positive feedback and no negative. Shoes authenticated all on this past Monday and my funds were scheduled to be sent out the following day. They were all in the available funds' section. At 11:58 pm on Monday, I get this

But there are no restrictions or holds on my account because I called eBay and said nothing is wrong. My payout date then changed to Wednesday. Wednesday comes and it has now changed to Thursday. Thursday has just started and it now says Friday for my payouts. I called eBay and they still said there are no holds or restrictions . It is now Thursday morning and more funds have become available. Again these funds are in the available funds section and available to be paid out. Does anyone know what is going on? |

You are a new seller and there are payment holds for that simple fact until you have proven yourself to be a good seller. The links below explain the rule. This rule has been around for years.

I don't think this is right. I'm not a new seller and have no funds on hold. I also got the same periodic performance review email stating payouts would be on hold during it, after the payouts hold was lifted and the message went away today(Tuesday) it said next scheduled payout: Weds May 5th so I thought okay cool all is good now they're done with the review, but then when the clock hit midnight it now switched to saying next scheduled payout: Thurs May 6th. Why?? Are they going to keep getting pushed back, I've got a good amount just sitting in available funds. Hopefully it works itself out or I'll be contacting ebay support in the morning, the last payout I got was April 29th and I normally get them very frequently.

My post above was NOT for you, I was responding to the OP of this thread. So you are right, what I told them does NOT apply to you. There are various reasons why money can be held by Ebay. The answers are not one size fits all.
Are you in the middle of a Performance Review? If so, they hold payments for 3-5 business days until they have completed the review.
If that is not it, then you need to contact the Payment Team to find out what is happening on your account.

Whatever is going on with your account is also different than the OP of this thread. You would have to give more details on what is happening to try and figure out what might be going on. It may be best to start your own thread.

I have 59 all 100 % reviews. I was suppose to get a payout today, it got changed to Thrusday. Things ran much smoother when PayPal ran the money end of things. If I could find another venue to sell my art work, collectibles, I would. I think they realized that if they get to hold all this money for 3+ days, they can make money off it, and cutting PayPal out.

@Anonymous
And they will continue to hold your funds until this is worked out. I get it, I'm not sure why sometimes Ebay has a difficult time accepting certain information. But I know it happens. No matter how frustrating you need to continue to try and get this fixed if you want the money they are holding.
I suggest trying Twitter or Facebook as they have better trained CSRs there.
