This is crazy I’ve been selling online on many platforms for almost a decade now. Recently started here on EBay and after a few sales, my account went on restriction for verification. I’ve sent everything required. I call them every week, they tell me they checked my documents and they are good that the “back team” or “back office team” should release my funds in a few days. And then they never do. I am told this every week. It has been a month now. I have already stopped listing new items, debating taking down what I have up, should I just accept they are keeping my money? This is so shocking and upsetting.

Who is "they"?

OK folks, here is yet another member that has tried to get things fixed. They have been told everything looks good and verified by multiple CSRs, yet they are still where they started, without THEIR money.

Now I do not have a good reason as to why the CSRs aren't giving you complete and accurate information but they seem to be very consistently doing this when a New seller or seller returning after 90+ days away. I've complained about it, but Ebay doesn't seem to believe me.
There is a rule that applies to new sellers and sellers returning after 90+ days away from selling. It isn't a new rule, it is one Ebay has had for many years. Money is held for 21 days on these sellers and that is likely what your issue is.
https://pages.ebay.com/seller-center/service-and-payments/funds-availability.html
https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold/pending-payments?id=415...The OP is saying its been a month now and still no payout. Does eBay count weekend days as part of their 21 day hold or is it business days only.
Seems to me that the OP needs to talk to a Managed Payments specialist and not a basic eBay CSR who may not have the ability to provide satisfactory MP related service.
When people talk it is not uncommon to round things off. Some see a price of $9.95 as $10, others will say it was $9. Some people will see three weeks and call it a month. IDK which this OP meant but it doesn't change anything I said.
I also don't know if they talked with a regular CSR or one from MP. They didn't say and I'm not assuming stuff the OP said.
You are free to assume anything you'd like. I offered some information in which you or others are welcome to consider or dismiss. It is an individual choice.
I am not assuming anything...I just asked a question about the 21 day thing and made an observation about who the OP may need to contact, but it looks like the OP had replied @ 10 minutes prior on Post 8, 9, and 10 with some addl information specific to their issue...

Yes they did and they cleared things up the best they could at this time IMHO. That isn't to say that anything I previously said or asked is inaccurate. At the time I posted the information we didn't have the added information that the OP provided. I'm unsure as to why you need to persist with this, it is so unnecessary and serves no useful purpose.

The OP had posted that information 10 minutes before your response to me.....whether you had not seen it yet or not, I don't know.

Yeah you would think. The weird use of “back team” and “back office team” throws me off so bad.
09-18-2021 03:46 PM
No reason it should take a month or more, it’s completely unacceptable I have never had a problem like this on any of the other platforms I use. I’m told over and over again my documents have been accepted that they’re just waiting for the “back office” to lift my restriction, it’s nonsense.

Hi everyone,
This discussion is getting a bit heated and off-topic. Please keep discussion respectful and relevant to the OP's issue.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Thank you for tagging people who potentially could be helpful but I’m starting to just believe they intend on keeping my money and don’t care about losing me as a seller

Hi. I am a bit confused why this comment is tagged as a response to me. Was one of my comments disrespectful in any way to anyone?
Thanks,
RCA

OK, clearly this is of serious concern. I did not read all the posts before I response to an earlier post. If it makes you feel better, just blame it on me and move on with life. Hopefully you feel better now.

I don't disagree with you. I have never disagreed with you.

I wonder where this mysterious "back office" is located? Is it an eBay back office or an Adyen back office? I keep seeing this mentioned but no one ever confirms where it might be? When they first started hiring MP people it looked like a lot of the jobs were in Austin ... wonder if that is where the back office is located?
Maybe the back up in the back office is because they are still understaffed for Managed Payments?

So for the 3rd time I got another email saying I needed to send statements including:
”• Includes the name and address of the account owner or business entity
• Includes the bank's name
• Includes transactions details
• Lists the bank account number (at least the last 4 digits)
• Is less than 3 months old”
and for the 3rd time I have sent in and double checked that my statements have all of those things. Again Mercari, PayPal, have no issues with my bank. It’s NBT it’s not obscure. I’m like stuck in a loop with this this is crazy.
The fact that CS told me my documents were approved just waiting on the back office to lift the restriction I now see is a BLATANT lie. I’m at the point now where I need that money for dental treatment. I could have sold those items on another platform. I can’t believe this.
