How is this mandatory "accepting payments" through our bank accounts and no longer Paypal MORE beneficial to us, as sellers? It seems that there will be more fees to pay and payments for sales will no longer be instant, there will be a waiting period... HOW DO SELLERS BENEFIT FROM THIS CHANGE that is required of us? How is this "better" and "more convenient"? I think that it's more convenient for Ebay, not for the sellers that keep Ebay running.

I think that it's more convenient for Ebay,
You would be correct. It is eBay's site, and they can do what they want.

EBay made a get in or get out offer. Does not matter if we benefit or not.

eBay has a whole page outlining the alleged benefits:

It really doesn't matter if the seller benefits. The buyer and ebay benefit - bottom line.

The main benefit, you get to keep selling here.

I don't sell a lot of items and most don't sell for large amounts. I liked having my Paypal account with proceeds from selling which I could then use to purchase either from ebay sellers or others who use Paypal. Having my $10-$30 sales go directly to my account is not that helpful. Question: are buyers still using Paypal to make purchases? How does that then translate to going to our checking accounts? I don't get it.

Buyers can still use paypal to buy on ebay, along with debit, credit ,apple pay etc...
I agree with you. having direct payment going to your bank account is not helpful or convenient .
The payment you get after you sell is going to take up to 6 days to get deposited into your bank account. I don't want to wait almost a full week to get paid. I can see a lot of sellers quitting ebay and moving to other places to sell.

My biggest gripe is there is no way to track where all the money goes. I think eBay likes it better that way so you don't know when they're adding extra fees or whatnot.

Why not? We have access to reports. Have you looked at them?

I do not plan to continue selling on eBay if they continue with their plan to basic extort us sellers. So I did some research and discovered eBay dropped PayPal so that they "take care of everything in-house" but what they are not telling us is that they are using some Dutch bank called Adyen I have never heard of in order to do it. So our private banking info is being shared with some 3rd person European bank out of the Netherlands.

It is possible you haven't stayed fully informed along the way. But Ebay has never hidden that Adyen is the money processor or that they are a Dutch founded company. We've know this for close to 3 years or more now.
Ebay use to own PP. In June of 2015 the two companies split. There was a contract between the two companies that ensured that Ebay would stick with PP to process seller's funds through June of 2020. There were also some restrictions on PP too which they are now freed from.
Adyen is operating in the USA and therefore they MUST comply with all US laws. Their main US office is in San Francisco.

I have been on ebay since 2000, I was a power seller until ebay decided to change how that was calculated say around '08? . Ive seen open identity fully transparent auctions, open communication, and paypal, and now even Ebay bucks come and go, and I can say without any hesitation, that there is NO WAY IN HELL that ebay is getting my banking info. Not only was there a password breach a few years back, but just think by chance that you have an issue with a seller, and ebay freezes your bank acct , right when the mortgage is due or God forbid another breach and your banking info is stolen. I think not, and I urge all to stand their ground and boycott this change.
The bottom line is that with every change ebay has made "in our best interest" , things have gotten worse for sellers, and from what I understand the fees are going to be jacked sky high. I was a very diversified seller to start, I collected everything, so after ebay chased the "majority" of the buyers and sellers on those markets away around 2010, it has been slim pickings and impossible to sell at anywhere nearing market values as all ebay cares about is "quick flips" hence their ability to change your listings to accept offers, which is total **bleep** in my mind. To go hand in hand with that, the things I collect now seldom pop up as Facebook Marketplace, and group forums have come into vogue of late.
I may still browse once in a while, but my ebay days are sadly coming to a screeching halt.
Sadly I know that I have put some ebay workers kids through college or benefited them far greater than I have received in kind.

IN no way shape or form... This is another of ebays bonehead ideas to make up for the last bonehead idea.. Whatever happened to ebays newest bestest paypal type payment option ? NOBODY climbed on board so now they want your personal banking info ? I think not, I'm done selling here as of May 17th... This place has become a joke.

Benefit? You are kidding right ?
