Hi all, so Ebay has initiated payout holds until confiormed recipt of the item by the buyer. We've been an Ebayer since 1998, 1000+ feedbacks with maybe 3 negatives in that time, mainly for shipper damage(we ship items worldwide for over 40 years, fragile antiques). We did have a UK buyer buy something, we shipped it to the US depot where Ebay forwards and he claimed it wasn't received in 30 days post sale and requested a refund from Ebay. They granted that and did not reverse my sale since I fulfilled my end of the shipment, nice of them. But, now my payouts are on hold until the items are received. Any thoughts on how long this will go on? We don't sell frequently but often high ticket items and have $150k+ in listings. Where'd we go wrong? Thanks.

eBay may use payment holds for infrequent sellers or sellers that sell in new categories or that sell more expensive items than previously sold.

The amount of time you have been with eBay means nothing. If you are a new or infrequent seller, your funds can be placed on hold. It's the way things work now. Do some reading.

So last year we did ~$4k in 8 sales. we never had payment holds, not a biggie as we sell across many platforms that hold until the satisfaction period is over. One of them even pays out semiweekly. I just think the 1 'lost' (but likely tardy delivery to the UK by Ebay's shipper) is what triggered it. Thanks all.
