Okay....I’m really frustrated about eBay’s policies so I’ve pulled my inventory for now. I’m a Top Seller, 100% positive feedback, selling since 1997 and pleased to offer high customer service to my buyers. However, the recent updated policies eBay has forced sellers to agree to are ludicrous, driven by greedy corporate mandates. Holding sellers funds, requiring personal banking info and altering the standard PayPal processes, not to mention, the 12.35% on final sale all factors to that premise. For those of you that didn’t read the entire notification about the changes to the fee structure for sellers, here’s a quick synopsis. eBay now charges 12.35% on the total cost buyers pay....the item, and now added in, shipping and taxes. So, if the item sells for 100.00, shipping is 10.00 and taxes are 9.00, sellers will pay a fee of 12.35% on the total cost buyer paid out ($119.00). EBay’s Fees for $119.00 sale at 12.35% is $17.43. Seller’s profit from a $100 sale is reduced to $82.57. That’s just plan nonsense and double dipping in my book. If I’m in error and incorrectly understand the new fee structure or in calculations, please let me know. I’ve had lengthy discussions with eBay about this, but they’re obtuse and indifferent. I’m searching for another sellers platform as I do not support this type of business model.

@missionary.visionary wrote:I have been selling since 2008 and is also a top rated seller. I got a payment recently and was very surprised that I only got 50% of the payments made. My heart skipped a beat when I saw it but I moved on. My invoice for July to August was US346.97 but ebay took all the money that I made from my auction on August 13th and gave me only $39.02. The auction ended at $734.09 + shipping which took the total to $876,55. Ebay took away all that money from me plus a $91 that was added to a customer's invoice. The customer bought four items for $15.47 and I sent the invoice with free shipping, plus $91 added charge. After the customer paid, the $91 went missing from his payment. Ebay took the $91 for themselves and only gave me the $15.47 for the four items the buyer bought. I have contacted ebay customer service no less than seven times and it would appear as if I'm not dealing with real people. The sense of good reasoning is so lacking that it is unbelievable. It would appear as though they are programmed and are providing responses from a piece of paper. Can you imagine ? My July to August invoice is saying US346.97, yet $876.55 + the $91 added payment from the customer was all taken away from me. This actually equaled to $967.55. That is what ebay cheated me out of in one auction that ended on August 13th. I paid to ship off the packages, thinking that I was going to get my money from ebay, yet their programmed customer service people, sees absolutely nothing wrong with it. This is crazy !!
You should brush up on how MP works. They notified sellers in March that they would be taking ALL fees out of our MP accounts. I know you are in a different country, but this rule is the same for everyone I do believe.
This will likely explain things a bit better for you.

Not sure I understand your complaint. For ease of math, if you are paying a total of a 15% fee on the selling price of the item, PLUS shipping and tax, you are getting paid 85% of the value of the shipping and tax. It's somewhat of a gain to offset the rest.
