Hi sellers!
So please see the attached picture.
My question is, does ebay charge more FVF if the order is a single item with multiple quantity? Because based on the final amount here is $148.35, with 10.5% FVF, the fee amount should not be $16.49 with TRP discount. I also back-calculated using the $1.83 discount to see what the actual final amount they used to calculate the fee amount but it still does not add up..
I could not find online where ebay explains FVF for multiple items within a single order.
Anybody figured out?

It appears that the item you sold has a higher FVF than 10.5%. Check the Selling Fees page under Help & Support to check the fees for your category. Different categories have different fees. Oh, and if your buyer is registered in a foreign country, there will be an addition 1.65% fee.

Thank you for the reply.
So this item was sold previously with quantity (1) and I confirmed the FVF is 10.5%. And I realized there will be a 1.65% fee as well for international fee, which is a new thing..
But what I don't understand is, why when a single item is sold for more than 1 unit, the FVF will be higher?! or there is another fee in the equation that is not shared to sellers from ebay?!?!

The international fee of 1.65% is NOT NEW. I have really been surprised at how many sellers have come to the boards concerned about this fee. While MP is slightly higher than PP, it is a fee you have always paid, you may not have noticed before, but it has always been there. In PP it is 1.5% [2.9 + 1.5 = 4.4%]

$148.35 x 12.35% - 10% = $16.49
What's changed?
eBay now manages the end-to-end selling experience for our marketplace. This means you no longer need a third-party payments processor, and there is no more separate payments processing fee. For most sellers, this means savings for their business. It’s that simple.
The final value fee is a percentage of the total sales amount that varies by category (for sellers without an eBay Store subscription, this is 12.35% for most categories), plus a fixed $0.30 per order.

It is NOT an international transaction so there should not be a 1.65%. If there is, it will be a separate line item on the bill.
If I use the TRS 10% discount $1.83 to back-calculate, the FVF before discount is $18.3. Then with a 10.5% FVF, my final amount with tax should be $174.29. But my final amount up there shows $148.35...
Anybody?
The ship to address does NOT determine if it is an international sale. That is driven by the buyer's registered address. But I believe you when you say this is not the issue.
MP charges one rate for the FVF on multiple purchases or a single purchase. It is the same rate plus a 30 cent transaction fee. So in your case with 148.35 x 10.50% = 15.58 - 10% TRS Disc 1.56 = 14.02 + .30 Transaction fee = 14.32
How did we jump from $148.35 in your OP to $174.29 in this post. Where did that number come from?

Appreciate your reply!
I checked the username and it says it's based on United States.
So $174.29 is what I "back-calculated" based on their TRS Disc which is $1.83.
$1.83/0.1 = $18.3 (this is the FVF fee before TRS based on ebay calculation)
$18.3/0.105 = $174.29 (this is what ebay "thinks" the total amount was) but it actually is $148.35
Your calculation is CORRECT, that is what I think too!
So I am really confused why they charged $16.49 instead of $14.02

Why do you need to "back calculate" anything? I don't understand.
How much was your total sales including shipping and sales tax?
Then you just use the calculations I showed in post 7.
