Money on hold due to updating my account

Has anyone else suddenly received a message saying that Ebay put their money on hold until your account is updated. NOTHING has changed on my account, NOTHING. So I went through and just checked everything. This morning I called to find out why they had to hold my funds when nothing has changed on my account? They had no idea why, but told me that once they verified the information that they have already verified, that I would get my money in 48 to 72 hours! What is happening? Please tell me if anyone else has experienced this!

That's unacceptable. If you put a hold on an account there has to be a reason. The frontline customer services reps should have access to that reason or direct you to someone that does.

Since eBay now acts as bank (as I said acts is not really), they need to be more forthcoming. If you bank account was frozen, you would get an explanation and ways to fix it. Vague re need to reverify something is an insult.

You haft to give them a bank account to get your money . Not PayPal

Reply to the message asking what they need; they'll get back to you in a couple days.

Im so fed up with ebay and this managed payments **bleep**. I sold something on Friday 4/23 and the funds are still not in my bank acct as of 4/27 9:15 PM. The customer service interaction is way different and the reps are way too patronizing and less helpful. Ebay must have had a rigorous retraining program for them because they sound like polite robots. I had one rep tell me how much Im going to benefit from managed payments and I told him the only one benefitting is Ebay period. Ok enough with my rant, who's next?

I’ve had my eBay acct for 14 years with the same bank account. I’ve tried repeatedly to update my account info which the agent says is successful, may take 24-48 hours to reflect this change and it doesn’t change. I’ve hit my limit of speaking to people that could care less and who I can barely understand. I’ve had it. The comment stating I can use the funds for eBay fees while on hold is stunning.
