I got famous message from eBay today, to register for managed payments, with 18-Jun as a deadline. I already know I will not be signing in and after 20 years that's it, 100% FB, 5.0 DSRs, all gone with the wind. But OK, I already said that before, for long years eBay is slowly turning the screw against the(ir) sellers and it will backfire, sooner or later. Or eBay will turn into something completely different, which is fine with me, but without my part.
However, I strongly believe forced managed payment is substantial (single-sided) change to the agreement and eBay should at least allow grace period to sellers who have yearly store subscription until it's finished, or allow them to downgrade/close selling account without penalties. We have an Anchor store subscription paying 300 USD + taxes and we did so even when there was no sale during first waves of pandemic and when eBay offered us deferred/delayed payment, no discount of any kind. Even worse, at the time they even allowed anyone to list for free up to tens of thousands items, additionally deserting us store subscribers and only saving their asses. That was a spectacular move. One of many showing eBay attitude towards their sellers.
But anyway, I could go on for pages, not worth it, if anyone just knows anything about this issue with yearly subscribers please let me know. Luckily we are close to the end of period, still, 300 USD for nothing is something we would gladly avoid...

Change is difficult, but we all must change quarterly with eBay. I was opposed to it as well, but was 'opted-in' last month. It is going smoothly and I really don't have any issues, which surprises me. I know you and others don't want to hear it, but it isn't as bad as you think. I got shut down in another thread for saying this because it didn't fit the narrative, but it isn't all gloom and doom.

Translation to MP has been going on for some time. Why since it has; do you think you need a grace period to quit eBay??
Just saying this. I am on MP and still can make money using eBay.
Oh and MP is not the greatest ...
As for your store closing it may have fees involved

I don't get it really. You did not understand my question or what? Of course I know all that, it's exactly the reason why I asked my question 🙂
I don't need the grace period to quit eBay, but exception of forced MP until my yearly store subscription ends. Or, as an alternative, the option to downgrade/close the store without penalties
I'm sure there are many store owners who do understand what I'm talking about

eBay did offer a grace period for store owners that lasted about 6 weeks or so right after the the announced Spring Seller update. But unfortunately that opt out period has passed.
