Managed Payments Failure In a Nutshell

I had an item sell on Friday September 4th with managed payments.

I shipped on Saturday the 5th because Monday was a holiday and I don't like making buyers wait too long before shipping.

Today, Tuesday September the 8th, the item was delivered and I have already received positive feedback from the buyer.

Payment for the item is still listed as "PROCESSING"

THAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH MANAGED PAYMENTS IN A NUTSHELL

Buyer paid me. I did my job. Even the USPS did their job quickly.

ONLY FAILURE AROUND HERE IS PAYING THE SELLER IN A TIMELY MANNER

Have not been paid in 5 days.  Called my bank and nope. No payment incoming.  They are taking money out, but no money in.

It has to finish processing, so Ebay can send it to you.

Takes a coupe days to process for most cards.

Have a great day.

Your comment is irrelevant. Item has already been shipped and received with positive feedback.

Electronic transactions should never be slower than physical transactions.

For twenty years PayPal was immediate. STOP defending eBay's poor business practices...

Re: Managed Payments Failure In a Nutshell

Better read the FAQ. Clearly states that once ebay shows items needing to be shipped that the buyers payment has been made. There just holding the funds to collect the interest on them. Our merchant account only takes one day to capture your funds and disburse them, so i can't figure out why ebay is still "processing" our sales from 9/3 and 9/4 that is now 6 days ago.

Re: Managed Payments Failure In a Nutshell

Ebay's managed payments SUCK OUT LOUD! We've sold 20 items, shipped 17 of those so far and received payment for only one. What is the hold up? Why can't eBay get it right?

Also, how does one refund a buyer's shipping that we agreed to pay for a return? You used to be able to send it real quick via PayPal. This is a friggin' nightmare!

Re: Managed Payments Failure In a Nutshell

You need to go to your Orders, then paid and shipped.

find that order. In the drop down on the left, one of them is refunds.

hope that helps

Re: Managed Payments Failure In a Nutshell

I'm sorry but I will not ship anything until the payment shows pending in my bank account and I changed all my listings to 3-4 day handling time MP sucks  I sold an item on the 3rd and it stills says processing payment

Re: Managed Payments Failure In a Nutshell

The worst part for me is not the payment delays.  It is the fact that I can no longer sell coins, cars or many other items on the "managed payments restricted items" list.
