I'm new to selling with the newer system on here. I'm used to using paypal. I've made a sale and it says they are holding my funds until they verify my bank account. I go through the process of verifying and when I get to the last screen to save the account info, it tells me the account number is invalid. I've tried several times and I've also tried removing the account on listed on my profile and adding it again and I still get the same error message. Can anyone think of what might be causing this? I've talked to my bank and they said it is nothing on their end and they are not receiving any microtransactions from ebay.

What bank is it? There is one in GA that ebay won't accept........and frankly, I can't remember which one.....hopefully someone will come along and respond..........

It must be a checking account. The name and address must match exactly to your ebay registration address.

As I remember there are two different verification methods - one where you enter the account and routing number - the other method involves logging into your online banking account. If you only tried one method I would try the other. That's all I have.

What bank are you using? I know there have been issues with Chime and several others. You need to add a routing number as well as the account number for it to be verified.

It has to be a checking account and the name and address on both the bank account and eBay account must match exactly. If its John Q Public on the bank and Jonny Public on the eBay account, it won’t work.

I lot of people here posting say Bank of America can sometimes not accept this bank even though it is a big bank.

Bank routing number must match address with address of eBay and so on.

I don't know your age but US Bank offers free banking if 65 or older...checking(no checks) and a debit card.

Two debit cards with routing numbers is better than one.

I actually have that added feature "Express Payouts"...I needed to send in an email my first page of my bank statement with the logo on it....Logo is ver important for it to be on it. My bank gave me a free copy.

Just thoughts.

Joint accounts could make it a bit harder to get verify....two names of the bank routing number.

Sellers can no longer receive funds through Paypal.

Buyers, however, can still use Paypal to pay.

You need to enter "ROUTING# only" of your checking account. Name on your checking account, social security card and EBAY profile page must be an EXACT MATCH. No nicknames allowed (must be your legal name).
