June 15th the end of a solid run

Goodbye ebay, been fun.

I am a seller of digital goods, 4+ years tens of thousands of dollars transacted and it's been a solid run.

I will not be joining managed payments, it adds zero value to me whatsoever. Not only are my goods ineligible for managed payments (lol how's that going to work geniuses) but I have zero interest in a nonsense obnoxious convoluted system in which you can just jam more fees down my throat.

It's been going this way for a while, covid has ramped up competition in the space and the only reason the roi was worth it was because it was low risk and the transactions occurred so quickly.

Managed payments just adds a whole lot of issues, fees, and nonsense with zero payoff, zero protection, and I'm supposedly not even allowed to use it to sell my goods.

As such, june 15th goodbye and thanks for all the fish.

Gl to those who stick around, hope it works out for you.

I want to leave eBay so bad but the alternatives don't have enough market clout (except Amazon, which is also not an option). Please tell me an eBay alternative that actually works (other than Bonanza or Amazon...tried both they arent that good)

@writingblog341

Even if we could think of one, it's against the rules to pitch it here. Sorry.

A very brief search on Google will answer any questions you may have.
