I find it interesting eBay is suddenly too lazy to process payments over the weekend now. Does this mean as a seller I can call Monday a non-business day for shipping now? Nothing like the good ole eBay bait and switch...

Yes I agree with you. And I directly answered the OPs questions. But I see your point completely.

Why would someone else's work ethic, or lack of, have anything to do with mine? Some people never go to work. I never considered that a reason for me to stay home.
I work the days/hours I work because it's what I choose....not because someone else is calling the shots.
I learned a long time ago to not put more effort than your employer rewards you for. That is why I quit my fast food job many years ago for this. Now history has repeated itself it seems. Luckily I am working on my Shopify and Marketplace business. Just a shame eBay is getting so far away from their original core business.
That is so subjective. I bet some hamburger slingers feel they should be making $20 an hour but that has no basis in reality. Typically with a job you are hired to perform a function for a price. If you don't like the job requirements for the pay you are getting, then don't take the job. Or if you have to take the job as you need some money to keep the lights on, then do your job and move on when you have another better paying job lined up. Doing a substandard job because you feel you are worth more money isn't the answer.
Have you looked at their Payment policies?

Which payment policies are you referring to?

Every site has them. Whether it is their own Payment process or that you are free to use whatever payment process you want.
Not a problem, I simply Googled it and found it.

Yup I am aware of that. I am willing to put up with certain hardships if it means being on a better site. When eBay insists on continually making things worse there is less motivation to be here.

That is really subjective. I've been in MP for awhile now and it presents no "hardship" for me. I respect that others don't like it, but there are also many that do just fine with it.

I have found that if eBay does not get a payment processed in time for my "weekly" payout after a Holiday (or for any other reason) it takes me about 30 seconds X 2 to take care of that.
30 seconds to switch to "daily", and another 30 seconds to switch back to "weekly" after the problem payment heads on out to my checking account.
For me, it was done as a test. I have no cash flow issues that would make it a regular thing to do.
Note................ as a general rule a delay does not concern me, but for anyone with a concern that eBay payments took a Holiday ................... it's a simple solution with probably a 1 day delay.

It is more than just MP that I don't like about eBay, but now I get the impression you are just trying to joust...

It does seem regressive that eBay, one of the early success of the internet, would go from a system were people get paid almost immediately via PayPal to one where money moves at a snails pace.
I know that the limit is via the processor, ACH, etc. However, just an example that when eBay could have said lets innovate, they went old school instead.
Once upon a time in a galaxy far, far away eBay was a disrupter. Now it's a follower. 😞

No I wasn't. I was responding to your comments as related to this thread topic which was MP. If the topic changed somewhere, then I missed it and didn't change with it.

lol, I already did, I ship Monday-Friday, admit I do still ship on Saturday depending how many orders get Friday later in the day/night - but for most part, I have no been shipping weekends, nor "processing" orders until payout early Monday morning - why should I they will take any shipping expenses away from my Monday payout...I wait til the payout is sent then I pay for shipping labels, since orders Thursday - Sun are still processing.

I talked to an Ebay Rep once about this. The only excuse she could come up with was "It is a high risk doing transfers on the weekends." To which I responded, "Funny, Paypal doesn't seem concerned or have any problems with this issue." Lol.

This is a very old thread and many things have changed since this thread was started.
IDK why a CSR would tell you it is "high risk" as it has nothing to do with anything.
It has EVERYTHING to do with MP uses the ACH banking system to perform the money transfers. The ACH is NOT open on Saturday, Sunday or Federal holidays. So on those days, no one, Ebay or anyone else in the world can make an ACH transfer.
Now since this thread was started, a few months back, MP started creating Payouts on Saturdays and Sundays if one was due per the seller's choice of Payout times. This does speed things up for sellers because the go into the Queue for the ACH banking system to be processed ASAP when they open on the next business day.
If that still presents a problem for you I suggest doing your best to set aside a little money as often as you can so you can build up your cash flow to better tolerate a 24-48 hour slow down of money. You may not be able to accomplish this right away depending on your financial situation, but with time you should be able to build enough backup to better tolerate the weekends.
