If so, that has nothing to do with MP as the fees are a pretty neutral change through July, you would have other issues to resolve not related to MP. Come August 2nd when PP raises their fees, then you will be saving more in fees as compared to if you still used PP.

Either way, I'm now incurring horrible 'round trip' foreign exchange costs. This is adding something close to 10% to my costs.
The only option I may have would be to get a US denominated credit card from a Canadian Bank, then use that for purchases and use US funds (in my Canadian bank) to pay that bill. Not that I want the hassle of another credit card.
Is there a better solution that I am not seeing?
Why do you need to purchase using PayPal? Do you have a Debit Card for your bank account or a credit card? You should be able to use those to pay with instead of PP.
I see your issue. There just has to be a way to move USD from your account so that there isn't extra fees. Have you talked with your bank?
"...Shipping cost take 15 to 20 days to post" If you are using the Ebay shipping label program, the cost of shipping being pulled from you MP account shows immediately for US shipments or International shipments if you are using USPS. If you are using GSP or the Standard International shipping program for your international shipping, then it does take a few days to appear as a deduction in your MP account and for good reason. It doesn't deduct until it is received by Ebay's clearing center [or whatever you want to call it], they verify that the info on the label is correct, then they bill your MP account for the cost as they move the package forward to your customer. This is nothing new. This is always how these international programs have worked, even before MP, just at that time it was billed to your Monthly Seller Invoice.
The shipping costs if you use the Ebay label program do NOT come out of your bank account. On the label form, when you are creating it, you have a choice. Pay for shipping through your MP account or through your PP account. If you are seeing shipping costs come out of your bank account, then it is likely you have chosen PP account to process these costs and you have your PP account set up to deduct from your bank account.
PP charged fees on Sales tax. So for that portion there is no difference. With the structure of the MP FVF we do now pay the same rate on the balance of the transaction too. So that is an increase in fees to us. Lots of sellers don't like it, so you are in good company. However if you want to know the TRUE impact the MP fees has to your account, you need to compare at least a months worth of fees. You will likely find as many others have that overall fees do not change by much for a month. Some transactions cost a little more and some cost a little less that before. So overall, my six month comparison showed a much more neutral effect on me. I don't pay more for using MP overall in a month.
Keep in mind this is about to change as of August 2nd, when PP increases fees. So a comparison would then show that we are saving a bit more by being in MP verses using PP at that time.
There is a downloadable report that will give you the details you are looking for per transaction.
There is also a detailed report you can download that is by Payout so you can balance those too.

I'm not sure why you think you can't have a longer handling time than 3 days. There are all kinds of options available to sellers for handling time.
You were not "forced" to ship. You stated a handling time in your listing and the buyer has every right to expect you to honor that. You want more time, all you need to do is change your handling times BEFORE someone buys from you.

You can't Opt out of MP, because there is no such thing. To sell on Ebay, if you have been invited to join MP, you need to register for the program or you will no longer be able to sell on Ebay. By years end Ebay should have all active sellers onboarded to MP.
