I need to talk to a real person from eBay about an unknown charge on my credit card statement.

Could it be store fees? They're changing the way that store fees and other fees are being collected. Not going to invoice you like before,  just going to grab them from you MP funds or a credit card. Just another "benefit " of Managed Payments.

Have you looked at your Ebay Seller invoice to see if you can spot it?  Could it be a shipping fee that was charged to your Seller invoice and then paid via your CC if you have it set up as your auto payment method?

If you have unknown charges contact your CC and don't waste time with ebay.

I do think, however, that it is very likely that these are legitimate charges if they are from ebay. As others said, check your invoices

In all seriousness though, you have to go through their little help center, click like 40 buttons then eventually it will present you with some contact options, the call/live chat options will only show up in the middle of the day during the week I've noticed, although lately, I've had trouble contacting them at all.

Thank you for your help!  I just figured out what the charge was.  I purchased shipping supplies at the beginning of January, and used the $25 credit that eBay provides quarterly.  The charge to our credit card for $7.78 is the balance owed for the item after the $25 credit.

That sounds very reasonable.  It usually goes this way.  Simply something we forgot, not Ebay trying to do something wrong.

Last year some places refused cash, or demanded exact change😊
