How do I opt out of auto pay?

I need to go back to the old way of paying for an auction I won when I am waiting for another auction from the same seller so that the shipping will be combined and shipped together. Same for Buy It Now items; I may want to order another item from the seller I just bought from. all attempts to locate the way to change this back to the way that worked for nearly 30 years, is not found. Please let me know how to avoid this ridiculous and unnecessary change to the ever self imploding format changes.

Buyer’s can’t opt out of the payment requirement when placing a bid or making an offer. Sellers are the only one that can uncheck that buyer requirement in their Buyer Management page.

You can ask the seller to put you on their exemption list.

I have the same problem .    I refuse to bid on any item requesting cc info up front

This been going on for several days now.  I does not take place on every item.

Maybe eBay is testing the waters with this intrusive feature.   If they don't end it soon

they will be pissing off a lot of potential buyers

Be warned, once you do enter preauthorization for an auction or to make an offer. Your Card will be charged every single time in the future immediately even if the next seller you purchase from DOES NOT HAVE THIS FEATURE ENABLED. And It is IMPOSSIBLE to pay with a prepaid ebay gift card if you want to pay with that instead of your credit or debit card. It even bypasses PAYPAL and just charges your card every time.

For 'buy it now' items, just place in 'cart' instead of hitting the 'buy it now' button; when all items are in cart, then pay.

For auctions, it's a Seller thing and not a buyer option as well as already stated by others, once in, always in.

Sellers can just 'combine and refund you' which you can send a message and ask (although sometimes if different items, the more you buy, the more in weighs, the more it costs to ship.

I know  of several  seller's that unchecked those box's  and yet  that auto pay is stilling showing  up.    I remember  when ebay  defaulted  GSP on all sellers with out asking   ,and we sellers that didn't need it  had to go in to are selling preference  page to opt out . sellers have to go into their buyer payment preference   page  and do same thing and Opt out.
