How do I know if the buyer paid the deposit?

Hi! I'm selling an RV here and some agreed to buy it and did so. They stated they've paid the $1,000 deposit via credit card, but I haven't seen anything from eBay that confirms that. Is there a clearing process that deposits must go through before they're posted? Or am I missing something...

Of course you are signed up for managed payments? And did you check payments in Sellers Hub?

Do not depend solely on email confirmation (emails can be faked) view your seller bank account to verify deposit is actually showing in your account

Thanks! That's very helpful. I just checked and it seems to buyer hasn't made the payment (despite saying otherwise) as nothing of any kind is showing in Payments window.
