How do I change the payout to a different card?

The payout was sent to a card that cannot receive funds from outside sources, so the payout keeps trying to add money to the card and keeps being rejected over and over again. I already changed my preferred card to one that can take money, but the payout keeps sending it to the card that can’t take money. How do I change the payout to go to a different card?

How were you able to set up a card to receive payouts in the first place?

You are registered in the USA, so you have to register with Managed Payments and provide a bank checking account (not a credit card) to receive the payouts.

Didn’t mean credit card, sorry for the confusion. The card that I’m having trouble with is my personal debit card, I changed the payout to go to there so the payouts would be quicker. I changed the payouts to go back to the account that can take payouts and deleted my debit card from my account, however the payout is still going to my debit card. Is there anyway to cancel the payout and reinitiate it?

I'm sorry, but you are still confused. You can't have payouts sent to a debit card either. Payouts have to be sent to a checking account, and it doesn't make any difference if that account has a debit card or not. If you want to change the account the payouts are sent to, you have to follow the instructions in the link I gave you.

eBay normally verifies the bank account to be sure that it can accept both deposits (payouts) and withdrawals before they will accept it for managed payments, so if the payouts are not going through when they are sent, I think you will have to find out from your bank what's going on.

If they payout has already been sent, but is rejected by the bank, then eventually the transaction will fail and the money will still be in your managed payments account.

The money should be going to a checking account.  Did you cancel the account?

Ebay says it can now send payouts to debit cards linked to your bank account.  That's probably what the seller is trying to do. But I've seen other sellers posting that it isn't working for them as well. Just like I can't get paid into my bank account, even though my bank says there are no attempts to deposit at my end - they haven't rejected anything. Now that I see others are having problems with the debit card option, I'm not even going to try it.

The information on payouts to debit cards is  in that link you provided, it starts with:

"Payouts to your debit card

Alternatively, eligible sellers have the option to receive payouts to a verified Visa or Mastercard debit card for an additional fee."

Yes you can have payouts to your debit card now. Click on the link you provided to the other seller and see for yourself, as per my previous reply to you. Ebay charges you another fee if you use it.

@littleprairierose, I'm sorry, but you have misunderstood this.

You can't have payments sent to a debit card, but the OP may have the same misunderstanding.

Here is an announcement that has more information about this:

It says that if an eligible  seller has a debit card for the bank checking account where they receive payouts, then they can have the payouts sent to that checking account on demand, more quickly, for an extra fee.

That is not the same as having the payout sent to the debit card. The payout still goes to the same checking account (the one the debit card is attached to) it just gets there faster.

Too Late to Edit:

I noticed that the link I provided earlier has been updated, and now it confusingly says that payments can be sent to a debit card, when it means that they can be sent more quickly to the checking account if there is a debit card attached to it.

@littleprairierose, you are registered in Canada, and debit cards are processed differently in the USA than in Canada (and most of the world) .
