I have a laptop that i won in a bid worth AUD $252.50 about (US $193) my country are restricting me from spending upto $100 using my debit/master card/visa card. but i will like to pay for the item. I have 4 ebay gift card worth $200 ($50 each), now i have tried to apply it, but it is reporting that You can t redeem a gift card for orders in other countries. I am in Nigeria now and the seller is like from Australia, kindly assist me on how to pay for this item using the 4 gift cards, as i have less than two days to pay for the item. how do i use the 4 gift cards, worth $50 each to pay for the laptop in my account. i have been notified severally and i need to pay thanks

I don't think you can use eBay gift cards to pay for a foreign transaction, according to the rules. You may be able to use your credit/debit card if you create a PayPal account and link  your card to it. PayPal does the currency conversion and charges the amount in your local currency, which can get around some local restrictions on making charges in foreign currency.

If the gift cards are valued in US$, then they can only be used by an eBay account that is registered in the USA, with a shipping address in the USA, and they can only be used to purchase an item that is listed on eBay.com (in which case the currency would be in US$, not AU$.
