Wasn’t sure which section to ask this in. Payments or Shipping, so I chose neither. 🤣
Hopefully an easy question. Is the GSP working through Managed payments as it did with PayPal?
Thanks
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!

It works the same as before. The eBay simplified fee is charged on the item price and shipping to Kentucky.
There is a 1.65% international fee, this is a bit more than paypals international fee that was 1.5%
Just an FYI on the international fee, it is also charged when a buyer use a forwarding company if they are located in another country.
With paypal we used to be able to block foreign currencies if we chose so that the buyer could not pay, now we can't.
This is just something to keep in mind when pricing your items.

Umm - mod - do you think you could give the CORRECT link as to where it moved instead of linking back to the same place?
Or is this just another one of many bugs in the board software?

@ra_201044. There is an annoying delay from when they move a post to when the redirect link actually works

@loveyourimagination49 UK has had the VAT tax for a long time now. I am not up on the news... not sure if it's going up again.
When I sold an item to the UK using the GSP I only paid the simplified fee on the item price and shipping to Kentucky. The sale was in October 2020.
Same for sales I made with the GSP to Canada and Australia. I only paid the eBay fees on the money I received.

Since all the $ even the shipping and VAT will go through Ayden (sp) and given to eBay, we will be charged FVF on the total sale. That make all sales outside the US too $$$ for me....
Can you help with this? Thank you! It’s Adyen....

For domestic sales where the buyer is paying all of the money in one payment to you, including the sales tax that eBay collects and remits the simplified fees ARE charged on the total including the tax.
For GSP sales that is not true.
Here is a screenshot for a GSP sale, the 64.64 is the total that the buyer paid to me for the item and shipping to Kentucky>
As you can see I was not charged fees on the vat tax.
So since I sold this item to an international buyer it cost me an extra 1.07 in fees. Not a huge amount. I have added a $1 handling fee to most of my items so that "virtual piggy bank" will more than make up for this or the occasional freight forwarder sale.
