Seems like almost every time I sell something, it takes eBay five days to pay me. They also seem to be holding payments for days and bundling them together to send one payment. I thought they were going to make payments within one business day? Bad enough to charge all the excessive fees (including a fee on sales tax, which should be illegal). At least they could try to pay me within a day or two of my sale. As it is now, eBay takes their cut, the buyer has the merchandise and I'm left with jack squat for a few days. Not a good setup at all.

I wonder if you've got yours set up to pay 'Weekly'...?? I opted into MP two years ago and I selected 'Daily'... my buyer's payment is my bank deposit in 3-4 business days. (Note: 'Daily' does not mean 'next-day'.) Maybe you need to tweak your Payouts. Good luck.

DAT fee on sale tax was also charged by PayPal: did not see folks griping about it there... Of course most have no clue what they were being charged until managed payments....

Pay Pal charged a fee on the sales tax also, just like other payment processors.
They can't send the funds to your checking account until they receive them from the buyers payment source.
If buyer pays with a credit/debit care, some are paid quicker then others.
When they send the funds to your checking account, they send what its available that day.

So a multi-billion dollar corporation can't send me $40 until the buyer's payment clears? Got it.

Remember how you pocketed the buyer's payment from PayPal, delivered the item, got feedback ... and eBay was still waiting 30 days later for you to pay eBay? Got that.

When you were notified you needed to register for MP, did you go out and research what MP was and how it worked? That really should have been your first step seeing as they are the keepers of the cash.
@mtgraves7984 is correct. It sounds like you have the settings on your account to be Weekly payouts instead of Daily payouts. The only two choices. Now when we first enter MP, the Daily Payout option is what they automatically set to, so at some point you or someone with access to your account must have changed it to Weekly. Every Tuesday Morning the payouts are released.
AS to fees, it is amazing how many seasoned sellers such as yourself really seem to be a bit unaware of the fees you paid BEFORE you went into MP. The only fee increase in recent memory from Ebay was on April 1st when they increased fees by 0.20%. Fees on sales tax was charged by PP before MP even existed.
MP has never said anywhere that they were going to make payments in one day.
The fees in MP have NOT increased overall fees. The following numbers represent those that do not have a store and the fee rate for most common categories [not all].
Fees BEFORE going into MP
10.20% FVF + 2.9% PP fees = 13.10% plus 30 cent per transaction fee.
In MP the fees are:
10.20% FVF + 2.35% money processing fee paid to MP = 12.55% plus a 30 cent per transaction fee.
Starting August 2nd, PayPal is raising their fees, so they will be as follows:
10.20 Ebay FVF + 3.49 PP Fee = 13.69% plus .49 cent Per Transaction fee
PP is apparently offering different fees to different sellers, likely depending on size. From what I've seen it is between 2.59% and 3.49%.
Here are some links you should really take the time to read. They are short and easy to read but contain a great deal of information that you should absolutely know and be aware of to successfully navigate the MP system.
