I continue to get spam from ebay wanting me to submit credit card info to receive 3 " free" express payouts. Then only 2 dollars to receive each additional express payouts. When we had pay pal all payouts were express... instantly... now we have to wait days before we get our money, while the customer enjoys there item. Also the seller is being charged for the entire sale. Why does the seller have to pay a percentage of the sale, the shipping.. and the tax... how in the world can ebay legally charge you a percentage of sales tax collected.. absolutely illegal.. these no rules and fees have caused me to move to other platforms to sell items.

Where does it say it's illegal?
They base their fee's on the total amount the buyer pays, just like Pay Pal, credit cards and other payment processors.

It does not say it's illegal... as a seller you can not control who ...or where you item is sold. Some places have deferent sales tax percentages .. as a seller I should not have to pay a percentage of sales tax collected for that state. If you walk into a store front, the business cannot sell you an item, calculate the cost with sales tax. Then charge you with percentage of that sales tax collected.. and PayPal and credit cards?.. none of my credit cards charge a percentage of my purchase.. I pay interest on the total amount of the purchase price.. not a fee they collect off of sales tax... but thank you for your input... ad nit commenting on the new horrible pay out policy.

"When we had pay pal all payouts were express... instantly."

Your credit card might not charge you, but the store you use the credit card, they are charged a fee on the total amount they process, just like it is here.

If you owned your own retail business did you know payments for goods do not magically go into your business account Scott free when you ring your customer up?
You need an automatic payment clearing house to process their payment. There is a small fee for each transaction for that. The clearing house doesn't care what part of the payment was sales tax, shipping, etc.
