Email eBay Giftcard

I want to buy an eBay gift card to be emailed to my son and I’m paying for it via PayPal.  When I tried to buy it I never received the page where I add his email address and a birthday message to him.  Instead, it just gave me the option to “Confirm and Pay”.  When I click that, it just pays for it and emails it to me.  Can someone please help me?😩
