Two months ago I paid double taxes for an item. Ebay told me to sent certain proof of payment, which I did, and I got an email where the process of refund was started, they also say in the email that it will take 20 days. 2 months later and I am still waiting. I have been asking many times, and they come always with those recorded answers. Technical issues, technical glitch, bla bla bla.
How long could I wait before I decide to ask to a lawyer what to do, I know is just the VAT, but is the behavior that I am not tolerating.
What should I do?

yes, you will get nothing but copy/pastes when you email ebay. you would need to contact them via chat during business hours, or have them call you. thats the only way youre going to get a legitamate response.

a lot of us dont have social media for personal reasons, & some of those accounts arent really their CS. i would personally never suggest anyone go off of the ebay platform to speak to CS for any reason. the copy/paste issue is mostly unique to their email variant. i dont often struggle with the chat option.

You don't have to go off the eBay platform and find a fake csr. eBay has links directly to their social media pages here in the community. You can get the right link from the Community Mentor Lounge. No risk at all.

Going to ebay's facebook for business or Twitter isn't "going off the ebay platform."
That's where there are real knowledgeable ebay employees who actually know what they're talking about.

I took contact with them in Twitter and they sent me a link where they were asking certain authorization, I tried to read the policy, never open, so I denied it. I ma not going to give eBay authorization on my social network.

Do not expect any refund from ebay. They blame seller. The customs people blame ebay. The postal service blame the customs. Its a catch-22 of scam, just like the awful GSP that they forced upon sellers, robbing us customers a few years back. Use FB for purchases in stead or Amazon. Ebay is DEAD!!!
