I recently sold an item that showed the net proceeds (after fees) of $141.52 however the payment Ebay made to my checking account was only $104.50. When I go to my seller account --> payments --> transactions I continually receive an error " We ran into a problem. Please try again". I cannot get to the details regardless of how many times I try or which browser I try. I've gone through all of the help algorithms but there appears to be no specific category for getting help with payments when the focus is on eBay and not a buyer. How do I speak to someone at eBay about this?

Did you have a reserve? Did you add anything when listing that has additional cost?

No, I did not have anything else that would cost additional. The main issue is that I have no way at the moment to see a detailed breakdown of the transaction because of the error message I receive. The final value was $172.78 which included shipping and stupidly sales tax. So after fees I was to receive 148.50 but that's not what hit my bank account. Worst case, I'll have to wait until December 1 when I can download a report but it's so frustrating to not have a simple way of inquiring about a payment from Ebay.

I suppose that you didn't ship from your 'Pending' funds before the Payout was made, correct? 🤔

Did you pay for shipping out of your $141.52 or $148.50?
(Unsure of correct amount you were to receive since both posts show different amounts)

No, Ebay used Paypal to pay for shipping.

Update, I was finally able to speak with someone at Ebay and they too could not review the payment details. They're sending this to their technical team and will let me know when they are able to review the payment details.

If you look at the Payments Tab in Seller Hub and click All Transactions every fee is shown and everything is detailed there.

They ONLY do that if it is what you chose to do when creating your shipping label.

The technical team already knows that this is happening to some sellers. They announced it about mid week. They are working on it.
In the meantime, that isn't the only place you can get the information. You have two other options under the Payment Tab in the Seller Hub.
You can look at the details of the Payout that was sent. Or you can download your detailed report surrounding that timeframe and take a look at what it is telling you. There is usually more than one way to view info.

Wanted to follow up my own post. So, when I finally was able to review the details of the payment, the reason why the payout did not match my net proceeds was due to Ebay charging me shipping from a previous item I had sold the week before. I had assumed they had already taken shipping funds for that transaction and did not expect it to come from the current one. It did not help that for several days I received an error when trying to view the transaction.

The charges for shipping do not always show up right away. Some shipping methods take a couple weeks or so to show up. If you use GSP or Standard international shipping are a couple of them. Federal Express and UPS are a couple more.

I am new to selling on ebay & have been scratching my head because my payouts were less than what I expected as well. I thought I was losing my mind because the math was NOT adding up...lol
Thank you for this post, because now it makes sense. It WAS the shipping costs being pulled from other items that was throwing me off. Glad to have my books balanced finally!

This is a very old thread and much has changed in Managed payments in the past couple of years since this thread was active. You really should start a new thread and ask all the questions you need to so that you can get the current information.
