Ebay, I'm not leaving!

Instead, I'm asking for an opt-out option from MP for Casual Sellers — and to keep using Paypal. Ability to access funds immediately is a matter of survival for many of us.

Please consider it.

I suppose it's endurable if you are a business or even a private seller that has a large stock or a steady bank account — but for the casual seller who also buys etc it's too much of an infrastructure IMHO, especially when you have to confide bank details allowing debits and whatnot and SSN details to surrogate companies you can't even find in the footnotes.

Ebay, I'm not leaving!

@powell-memorabilia

damaged never happened, not as described never happened, lost in the mail (only 1 in 1000 in 5 years, and I'm not convinced the buyer was being honest, something didn't add up... but i sent a nice replacement package) and have had a couple of return requests, to which I usually negotiate sending a replacement with a bonus item. I done a couple of full refunds for items that were damaged apparently without me noticing it (one or two times) and in that cases I've taken the loss of the money and the items as an inherent risks of my business. I have even sent replacement parts for used items that buyers knowingly bought as used and never complained about, just because I thought it was nice. I try to make reparations every time i can, simple as that.

I'm actually a bit proud of my sales record because I put extreme care in this and the packaging and I try to do the best thing possible — and that's in part why I fell a little betrayed with all these payments complications that treats sellers badly by effectively reducing their choices, velocity and independence from the platform. I'm pretty convinced MP isn't good for anyone here — and not just for me.

Also I don't see how small sellers like myself could possibly "ruin eBay" when eBay is a platform for independent action. . It's even slightly offensive to consider that as a premiss. It's more likely some giant chinese seller selling transparent pins for cork boards or semi melted elastic bands breaks a cog in the wheel before I do.

kudos in any case — take care

Oh, I do — I also blame whoever choses that alternative when there was a better one already in place.

I like my funds going to my checking account.

The fee's are taken out before I receive the funds, so no invoice to pay at the end of the month.

If I have to give a refund, I get the fee's back.

i can use the pending funds to cover the shipping.

I didn't even wait to be invited to sign up.

Have a great day.

They are not doing anything with it.

Once they receive the funds, if you chose daily payouts, the funds are sent to your checking account the next business day.

Some banks, take longer to receive and process the deposits, so it might be a couple days for it to show up in your account.

I chose weekly payouts and they pay on Tuesday and the funds are in my checking account Wednesday morning.

Have a great day.

So if you can't find any other option except MP, will you leave or not?

Ebay, I'm not leaving!

Well, that is the $64 question isn't it.

Many sellers hated it, but got used to it - I never liked PP coz I am predominately a seller and it took me longer to transfer funds from PP to my bank than it does with MP processing it for me.

Only time I ever use PP is when I purchase online with C.Card via PP for added protection

To be fair, that's only thing that sounds all right with MP — seeing the bill piling up for 1 month was a real nightmare.

I'm not planning on leaving, maybe I'll stop for a bit and rethink things.
There isn't any other options like Ebay pre-MP.  To leave infuriated with MP only to land on a similar thing would be irrelevant.

What's strikes me as absurd is why Ebay wants to lose its edge in the market becoming one of them.

^^^ There's the attitude... simplify it. I have to admit that adapting to all the changes sure does keep one on their toes. Admittedly, I weigh in the huge audience and eBay's 'we never close' policy. But that's just me. Think long, think wrong...

"There is nothing to consider, Pay Pal is out.

MP is the only option you have now."

Oh really? Then why are people that sell certain types of antique currencies still allowed to use PayPal? Shouldn't that be impossible?

If not PayPal, eBay needs to allow a new payment processor with similar capabilities for security reasons. Adyen is little more than a mechanism for transmitting money and has no oversight with transactions (they leave that to the banks).

This just makes stealing far too inviting for professional cyber-criminals that are as intelligent as anyone working at Adyen or eBay.  If I didn't know better I would almost think the system was set up to fail catastrophically.

Ebays stock is tanking.. They will ride off into internet history.. Casual sellers who provide Ebay's inventory with fun odd stuff are giving up... I don't have anything listed on Ebay since December and don't plan on wasting time on this toxic site.
