David from Ebay suggested taking comments about MP to the Payments Discussion Board. Why? Is there someone from Ebay going to respond to any of the posts? I went there today and it won't even allow a new post. Kudos to you for working on solving some selling problems ( good or bad ). I can't say the same for the "Payments Team". Ebay will continue to lose Sellers. The fall off in business is not entirely due to Covid. There are many platforms steering Sellers away from Ebay and the main reason seems to be MP. Just FYI. I will be another casualty when I get my invite.

More and more websites are joining a 'Managed Payment' type system so if planning to sell on the internet, best to learn to love MP.

It's not so bad. I advise opening a checking acct. for 'just ebay' and put a $100, or $500 or so in there for a 'buffer against refunds etc.) Granted, PP was better with immediate payment etc. but that ship has sailed and will for many large websites if not already.

For me, and I'm in a Cali-State-Only small little Credit Union- items sold on Tuesday, the $ is in my bank Friday morning.

I've also spoken to ebay a couple times about this and one of the  things I was told was that they still have bugs in the managed payment system, they're working on it and be patient.  Of course I'm going to have to watch my finances go down the drain while they do this but hey, we just have to be patient (yes, I'm being sarcastic).    I'm going to head out to see if I can find a work- around for this.

It sounds like you went to the Managed Payments discussion board, and for that, you have to ask to join and be admitted.

I believe the board that David was referring to is:

https://community.ebay.com/t5/Payments/bd-p/payments-db

Lots of experienced, and new sellers are posting on that board, and I believe that Charles from that team does respond to some posts.

I have been in MP since October 2018.  My payouts arrive 4 days after the buyer pays, which is just fine for me, as I am a low volume seller selling "wants" and not "needs."

No offense intended, but looking at your sold listings and your current listings, I'm confused how Managed Payments would make your "finances go down the drain."

Primary reason for that is probably all the negativity about MP good way for eBay to hide it out of the limelight. You are correct about the other platforms but incorrect about the fall off in business. Online selling has seen double digit growth since COVID and more and more people are buying more and more online, just not on eBay.

Thank God eBay is not in charge of nuclear weapons, the power grid, the internet or any other critical service where bugs simply do not cut it.

So here you are on a "payments discussion board". Not the restricted MP discussion board, but now that you are here......................... do you have a question?

Many here that can answer, or point you to an answer. (Not the way/direction that you were previously pointed).

May be some bugs here, and there, but it seems that MP is working in a satisfactory manner for many sellers.   Some sellers will leave, some will stay.
