Cannot add new payment option for payouts

Hello,

Has anyone else had issues adding/replacing their payout checking account? I've been trying to add a Chase checking account to receive my payouts in, but I keep getting the message We ran into a problem. Please try again later. for the last couple days. I tried different browsers, but no success. Curious if anyone knows of a fix. I chatted with eBay support but they just submitted that I was having a technical issue.

Thanks!

I am currently going through the same issue, having attempted the same steps as you. No luck on my end. You're not alone. Hopefully we can get this issue figured out. Based on other threads, this has been an ongoing issue for a while now.

Having the same issue here. My CC is expired and I am unable to update it or add a new one.

I also tried multiple web browsers.

6 weeks! I've been dealing with this issue for 6 weeks. I contact through chat or calls at least once a week, zero resolution. CS says they've submitted an escalated ticket every time. I'm pretty sure they're reading from a script. I have no idea how to fix this. It's insane that they aren't able to access the status on submitted ticket requests. This is the worst CS model I've ever seen.

Let's go!!!! Figured this one out. I was trying to add another payment method at first. Today I tried to Delete the current payment method and then it prompted something along the lines of, in order to delete you must add new payout method. I followed those prompts and then the new payout method was added successfully. Hope this helps!

Same here.   Got a notice that my credit card is about to expire, and I cannot update it with the new card info and date because "pmtapp.ebay" is unreachable or "down".  I did try adding a new card first - same behavior.  Serious, eBay has taken a massive slide into the abyss over the past year.  Searching for items to buy is hopelessly broken, page layouts are broken, now even a simple thing like accepting a credit card update is broken.

Okay, lets try this again, because yet ANOTHER failing of eBay said my edit of my previous post couldn't be posted because the time to edit had "expired", even though I edited it IMMEDIATELY after posting .

----------------------

Same here.   Got a notice that my credit card is about to expire, and I cannot update it with the new card info and date because "pmtapp.ebay" is unreachable or "down".  I did try adding a new card first - same behavior.

And never mind that the "instructions" they sent me to find the place to update my credit card were completely wrong.  To wit:

1. Go to the eBay Home page.
2. Click the "Account settings" (under your name in the header at the top of the page).
3. Click on "Change automatic payment method" listed under Payment methods for Seller Fees.
4. Follow the instructions for updating your payment method.

item 3:  THERE IS NO such thing as "Seller Fees" anywhere under account settings.

You have to click "Seller Account", which gives you a banner saying, "This page has limited fee information and will be removed"

You can scroll down and click a button to edit your payment information, but it ends up failing with the "pmtapp.ebay" error.  And the info showing there does show my soon-to-expire card.

BUT...

If you click "Payment Information" -> Payments in the left-hand pane instead, you get to a completely different page, where I DID update my credit card info.

Despite this, a few days later, I got another bot-generated email telling me my credit card info was about to expire.

eBay has been taken over by un-trained monkeys.   Pages are broken everywhere.  Search doesn't work anymore.  All the item listing categories are a mess.

Sorry to necro-thread, but I just ran into this myself... almost EIGHT months later.

The problem is that the redirect on their website is incorrect. There is no hostname "pmtapp.ebay", but there *is* one "pmtapp.ebay.com". NOTE the .com.

If you end up with this problem, cut & paste the URL into a new window, replace the "pmtapp.ebay" with "pmtapp.ebay.com" and hit enter.

To eBay- come on guys, fix your s**t.

Good to see that eBay cherishes its clients. They take around 13-15% of sales yet offer no support when you try and create a business account. I am given the same error everyone else has here. I am also told to go to Sellers Hub. There is no such thing. It is your Seller Account. Can't even get something this simple correct. My error has been stopping me from uploading products for 6 weeks and there are no resolutions. Support rang for 11 seconds and then sent me a message stating that nobody was available. The link to call also disappeared after this feeble attempt at calling me was made, Here is my error:

View all your fees with your transactions in Seller Hub. This page has limited fee information and will be removed. SEE YOUR LATEST TRANSACTIONS

You saved me so much time, thank you. 😀 And yes, this is a two-minute fix for someone and, it seems, nobody can be bothered.
