Account Mistakes

Wanted to sell off obsolete products. Someone said, try eBay. I did and sales are good, but the rules were ambiguous plus I have a time consuming profession. All is good and sales are four digits in just a few days. But the account that I set up at my bank strictly for eBay had deposits for 3 cents and 6 cents that I had no idea what they were for. Someone explained what the microdeposits were and how to enter them. I called my bank

(where my daughter was the president before breast cancer took her) and asked what the microdeposit amounts were. The teller read me the totals column as 3 cents and 9 cents. (3+6=9) I entered those numbers and was perplexed that they didn't work, I tried them on multiple days. Checked back with the bank and found out that the actual deposits were 3 cents and 6 cents. I tried those and it says that I'd made too many attempts and to log-in to my bank account while on the eBay page. I have no debit cards, no online billing, no account accesses set up. Only the State of Illinois is accessed. Since the program won't let me add anything though the 9 cents has been taken back, I tried opening a second account at my bank but when I tried to add it, it says that a problem has occurred and it won't let me delete the current account that it won't verify until I add another account and it won't accept the new one. And of course, all these FAQs and topics has nothing to do with resolving this issue while my sales balance continues to grow. Now that's one fine how do you do. 🙂 Any ideas?

OK, great

I called my bank and asked what the microdeposit amounts were. The teller read me the totals column as 3 cents and 9 cents. (3+6=9)

Why did you need a teller to read them to you? Can't you access your account online?

I have no debit cards, no online billing, no account accesses set up. Only the State of Illinois is accessed.

What does the State of Illinois have to do with this?

You simply need to slow down and pay attention to the details.  Many of us are very busy people and we manage.  Treat selling on Ebay like the job it is.  The rules are NOT "ambiguous" but you do have to take the time to read and digest them.  This isn't a site you should jump on, start creating listings and then wing it.  That is a recipe for some trouble to be sure.

As to the Micro Deposits.  Ebay explains this in the email you received on this subject.  They also tell you that once your account has received the Micro Payments, to go to your Seller Hub, there will be a red flag / message on your Seller Hub, follow the instructions in that message to confirm your micro deposits.

As to your banking access, that is only something you and your bank can resolve.  Ebay has nothing to do with that at all.  

Your time will be well spent by slowing down and doing a bit of learning before trying anything else that you don't know what you are doing.  You created your current issues by not doing your research.  You will be fine, you just need to slow down and learn.

I agree with all you say, but none of it gets me past the problem I'm in. I can't verify the account because of the wrongful entries given me by the bank as microdeposit amounts. They won't let me delete that account and go to another without adding an account first and they won't let me add the new account so we can do the microdeposits in it instead.

eBay knows the original account exists because they took back their deposits.

I do not do remote accesses to accounts which they want.

I got an account specifically for eBay and don't want to involve any credit cards or other vehicles in this.

Yes.

But it only gives me FAQs and topics that has nothing to do with my issue.

No phone receiver or chat options appear.

Just the option to read more topics about how to do what it won't let me.

I'm not sure what "conversational" has to do with anything.  If I understand your original post, you tried to enter the amounts of your Micro Deposits ON EBAY for the incorrect amounts.  If that is correct, the ONLY thing you can do to resolve your issue is contact Ebay and get this worked out.

As to your bank account, are you saying that you are not allowed to view your account online or that you simply haven't set that up?
