ARN

Hi guys, my orders have been cancelled and refunds given but l have not received it in my accounts. My bank is asking for ARN but ebay is not co-operating.  Yet, "ask ebay to step" doesn't show either. Any help?

Re: ARN

what kind of time frame are we talking about here? refunds/credits take a few days to process and would go back to whatever payment process was used.

Re: ARN

11 days now after the item was cancelled and refund issued. The refund is not reflected in my accounts

Re: ARN

Refunds usually show in accounts within a week to ten days or during the next billing cycle. It depends on how the bank handles refunds.

Ask eBay to step in won't be available after a refund has been issued and the case has closed.

Re: ARN

verify the payment method used, i.e. credit/debit card, then review said account for a credit OR in some cases, the original debit simply disappears and the balance goes back to what it was previous to the original debit, depends.... you should be able to find that there is a credit or the original debit is no longer there by doing a little footwork. It's going to be one or the other.  ebay doesn't keep the money, neither does your financial institution.

If the refund has been issued, not much you can do but wait until it shows up in your account.

Last refund I received, took around three weeks to show up.

Have a great day.

Re: ARN

my bank is asking for the ARN in order to trace the refund. Yet, the buyer says he cant do anything about it. I called ebay customer service but it yielded nothing.

Re: ARN

I do not know what number you called but 1-562-213-3849 should be the merchant number for the payment processor, if not then it could be a different number you need to do your own research with your bank or credit card company, if you go into your account and click on the ORIGINAL debit, it should show the transaction id number and phone number of the payment processor such as the one I noted above.

YOUR bank/credit card company should also have this information, sounds like the customer rep you spoke with is either lazy or does not know how to do there job. if they do not know then ask for a supervisor and if they do not know ask for there supervisor until you get the information needed.

the seller will not have this information and ebay customer reps will not have this information either.

only the payment processor has it.

when you call them you need to know the specifics, the transaction number, amount, date, time, etc, etc

IF ALL ELSE fails, then dispute the charge with your bank/credit card company

Re: ARN

Hi @erandrewk0

eBay processed your refund within 48 hours of notifying you that you were refunded.  It’s job is done.

It is now up to the bank handling your payment source to process the refund on its end.  Can your bank not contact eBay to ask for what it needs?  Your seller has no part in either the payment or refund processes.

Re: ARN

nobody is going to be able to find the info you need but you, you have to do your own footwork, you have been given the relevant way to find it, so there is nothing else anyone can do for you here. good luck

having been down this road myself the info I have provided already is correct.
