6 Weeks

No other option works, so perhaps just a thread (which you may close) I keep updating with every week that passes while you hold my money.

eBay will not recognize the bank account I've used for 23 years on the site.

Been through all the troubleshooting steps about 60 times. 

- bank acct is in my name

- it's the same name as my ebay acct

- it's a personal bank acct; same as my seller setting

- i've tried PC/Mac/mobile/Chrome/Edge/Firefox/Safari/incognito

- I was finally worn down my the relentless grind of CS that I opened a *brand new* bank acct

-- which promptly generated the same error when I try to add or edit a payment acct

The problem is not on my end.  So I wait. I'm on 7 weeks now.  I'll update this next Friday at the two month anniversary.

eBay, please just release my money. I need it for bills.

Maybe you didn't know this:  When you post a message here, you are not addressing eBay, its employees or its management.

This Board is composed of fellow eBayers, experienced buyers and sellers who volunteer their time to help others or offer advice when we can.

We are not the ones who could close your thread, nor are we the ones who can release your funds.

You need to actually contact eBay.

First was Wells, then I broke down and opened a new checking acct at BoA, yes. So now there are two that pop the dreaded error message.

Ah, thank you. I did not know. But, as I've contacted (and been on the phone with) eBay CS for 22+ hrs, I figure any visibility anywhere may help.

For whatever reason (it's between eBay, and BOA) eBay is not dealing with BOA for MP checking accounts.

Posts here stating that eBay just tells sellers that eBay, and BOA do not see "eye to eye".

that's odd, i had no problems with MP for my BA account and I even recently opened a 2nd store using BA without any problems. Both were totally smooth transitions.

You've NOT had any bank account used for ebay for 23 years. MP just started 3 years ago.

Any 'bank account' info that you gave was to Paypal, not ebay. They are not the same, never were, and now are not under the same ownership.

So...after posting this (correlative, not causative I'm sure) Tier II CS finally bumped me to the top of the pending list and crafted a resolution.  They posted the fix down to Tier I, who... ...make the fix on their end in 10 minutes. Happy that I have my money and can sell again; not so stoked that it took that long to convince them it was on eBay's side, not mine.

Your checking account isn't only used for MP.

They've had my checking account information since 2011 to cover fee's and refunds.

My payouts have been to B of A for the last two years, with zero problems.

Hmm a different bank may be needed with the information exactly as you have used to register on eBay with.

I mean exactly as it is.

Such also protects your normal fiances.
