1099K limits - withheld payments

I have recently surpassed the $600 limit and eBay is now withholding payment from the most recent sale until I enter in my full social security number instead of just the last four digits

I’d rather not put in the full number if I can avoid it. The thing is - the IRS has suspended the drop to $600. From what I understand for 2023 it will revert back to 2022 limits (20k) and in 2024 it will be $5k

I’ve barely exceeded $800. eBay is insisting I still enter all the digits. The online chat is worthless, doesn’t seem like they have any power to escalate something like this. @ebay on twitter just referred me back to the online chat

I don’t know when or even if eBay will ever catch up with the IRS. Do I have any other recourse?

You can always quit selling here and wait until the funds are turned over to your state, then you can get it from them.

Or provide your SSN like other sellers have and get paid.
