Hi!
I am looking to sell 4 tires on ebay but was wondering how do you ship them and what is the cheapest way to ship them? UPS, FedEx, USPS? What is the average cost to ship a tires like from PA to WA for example?

i would call FEDEX and UPS to get an estimate... i wouldn't consider USPS for tires...
i would also check my area for bulk shipping companies...

I will have to do that but I wanted to hear some response from people that actually shipped tires. I see quite a bit of used tires on ebay for $50-$60 with free shipping, I can't imagine these guys are paying $40-50 for shipping per tire.

Your best bet may be to sell them as local pickup only.

They are brand new snow tires but since we don't get a lot of snow here in Southeast PA so selling them locally will be tough.

A high-volume seller with a commercial account may be able to negotiate a reasonable price from the shipping companies...but for the average person? Shipping would probably cost more than the cost of the tires. Tires are big and heavy....
And just because ya see someone else doing something..... I see lots of people doing crazy things on here and not making any money; doesn't mean I would do it.

Just strap two together with zip ties. UPS will slap a surcharge for unboxed items. Fedex no. Just enter the weight and measurements into the listing form and offer Fedex Ground. It will automatically calculate the rate for the buyer based on their shipping address.

We sell 100's of new tires. We use FedEx 90% of the time. First of all no boxes, Poly Strapping with buckles, ship in pairs whenever possible, Max 70lbs residential and 75lbs commercial. Seller to seller E-commerce and tires is really tough, you have to buy right..

$22.64

For 2 tires bundled together? Even for one tire that isn't bad at all.
Is that a special account / rate with Fedex?

That's for one 225/75R15 to North Carolina through Ebay's discount with Fedex.

Setup an account with FedEx, regardless of how often you ship through them. The FedEx account offers a nice discount for shipping.
It did require me to put a credit card on file, but I've been saving 25 to 33 percent in most cases.
