I've owned my 1935 Ford with a Ford 5.0L HO engine for just over a year
now. I've always have had noise coming from the serpentine belt. I've
cleaned, replaced belts, checked alignment, changed pulleys, even
applied some belt dressing, which I do not...
Go for it.... it will never fly. Not good to see the alligator shreds
all over the freeways when any tire blows and comes apart. In my state,
law enforcement and the state highway department pick up the dangerous
items in the roads... There are laws ...

My beloved GM? I'm not into the newer GM cars, or Fords, especially not
Mopar, but I do like the big 3 diesel pickups. Mine does great. For a
daily drivers, new Hondas, Toyotas, and Nissans SUVs are my choices....
