Well, the last forecast we had here in N NJ is up to 28 inches. It just started at 11:30am and is suppose to snow with high winds, "blizzard" conditions. We are in the mountains and for some reason, always get so much! YUK. Snowblower is ready. Ed keeps on saying, "Eh, its going to be a dusting, nothing to it." We will see. I like his forecast much better! DZ

Started snowing and blowing right after we got back from the grocery store at 9:30. We went early on purpose. As I post this I can't see out of the basement windows. Snowed over. The basement stairwell has about 3 feet of snow in it. Can't get out that way until we shovel. BTW, I keep one shovel inside just for that purpose. 4ft drift so far across the driveway and the rest looks to be more than 2 ft deep. The wind is making crazy patterns and bare spots in odd places. Bare ground right next to 3 ft drifts and strangest of all is the deck which usually gets about 3 ft deep with snow in these blizzards and yet there is only a dusting on it. Our storm is not supposed to stop until tomorrow morning. If I can, I'll take some pics of a real Newfy blizzard. Oh, we can't see across the street but the idiots are on the street with their snowmobiles. JERKS!!!!! Marc, I have 4 2x4 fluorescent 4 bulb light fixtures with "daylight" bulbs in the ceiling. They are full spectrum bulbs which are supposed to be good for "true" colors inside. I also have incandescent recessed lights in the corners on dimmers and under the cabinets that are over the layout I have Christmas tree mini lights on dimmers. The incandescent lights give off a yellow cast when photographed with the digital and worse with film unless you get a color balanced film. So, my advice is stick with one kind of lighting unless you want some special effects. When the ceiling fixtures are turned off and just the corner and under cabinets lights are on it gives a very cool night effect. B-)

Started snowing here about 2pm. I haven't seen a weather report, so I have no clue what's going to happen. All I know is it is still too cold to go out, -10. ****PUNK****

Beautiful Norwalk, Oh only got 6 inches with another 4-6 expected tonight. Reason we didn't get more is that the storm is moving really fast or they say we would have got about 20 inches is it was moving normally. Suspect when it gets out east and starts rubbing up against the ocean it will slow down and dump on yas. prof

It was a nice 70 some degrees today, good thing the clouds moved in later in the afernoon to keep the temperature down a bit. But we did get 0.64 inches of rain on Friday so it isn't all that great in winter paradise (we do need the rainfall). Lee in Tucson

Well looks like the play offs will be decided by which teams can throw better snowballs and can ski the best. Either that or the grounds crew will be up all night with shovels and blowers keeping the field cleared off. Here today, 35 to 40 mph winds and temps dropping all day. Currently 21 degrees and 12 mph winds. But on Monday go back to work with the temps in the 40-50 degree range. Go figure. LNF PS You guys in the east can either shovel snow or use it as an excuse to work on your trains. I vote for the trains.

Even though the local news has pre-empted (sp?) all programming, the snow was not as bad as expected. At least in my area. They keep showing semi-cleared roads and people travelling......they hyped it, so I guess they have to "cover it". It seems like they got it much worse up through western and northern NJ. Dot, are you still there? We have the "Pete Effect" here too. There's a three foot drift right next to a patch of bare asphalt out on my parking pad. There are large patches of bare lawn, yet my front door is drifted in. I can't wait to get out there and get started! Yea Right!! :^O Marc

Has anybody seen my nose?? It was the only part not covered. I think it fell off and the snow blower shot it across my yard!!!!! What Punk said....... I bet you won't be able to tell I even plowed parts of my driveway. There's a 3' drift on the one side and the wind is just filling it right back in!! AARRRGGGHHH! X-( Mr. Winter Winds

Beautiful Beautiful snow!! Just got back from taking the wolf-pup for a walk in the woods! Chased field mice under the snow, bounded through the drifts. Blue, blue skies and a pale full moon. Not too much snow. No wind today around 4F in the shade. Was going to get in the Hot tub last night but the cover was iced over. Oh well. Warm and sunny in the upstairs train room. Nice to be out of our very dark basement. Life is good. Fred -Mississauga, Canada
