It was right after I whined, in the Irritations thread, about the drought and my dead lawn that it began raining in Biblical proportions.....FOR A WEEK! Needless to say my lawn is back.
The weather has been so odd! Here in SE Pa we went from the 2nd driest Sept (since, like, 1823!) to the wettest Oct ON RECORD! That's weird!
Denise (and my brother) are a little spooked up. In less than one year we've had the tsunami, Katrina and Rita, and the killer quake in Pakistan. Did you take note that HUNDREDS of people....whole villages, died in Central America due to hurricane Stan? It happened so close to the quake that it barely got any coverage. Now we have this unusual situation wherein large areas of the northeast have been totally swamped, property destroyed, evacuations and even a few deaths due to monsoonal type rain!
That's SIX devastating natural disasters in one year folks....and we have two and a half months to go!
