One nice thing about retirement is you can get out of bed any time of the day you like......
And once you get up you can take the rest of the day off.

Another nice thing is all the discounts retirees get.
If I had known that, I would have gotten older sooner.

Actually, not all discounts are good. As a retiree I get 10% off at the movie theater.
I'd rather pay full price and have them make the movie 10% better.

Have you heard the retiree's credo?
Anything worth doing is worth doing in a golf cart.

That's probably good if you like golf, personaly I think golf is a nice walk ruined by a little white ball LOL.
As far as retirement I stll get out of bed by 8am and do all manner of things around the house, no washing or ironing though, I tend to spend a lot of time in the shed, my kids used to call me the old man in the shed, hasn't changed yet LOL

I know a guy who doesn't want to retire ever.
He says he would miss the two weeks vacation.

My wife promised me that when we both retired we'd travel, and we do.
Back and forth to the grocery store and pharmacy.

Retirement is really wonderful.
It's doing nothing without worrying about getting caught at it.

Retirement does not necessarily mean inactivity......
Only if you are doing it right.

One of our past members of this site made the following statement,
"You will find after retiring that there is never enogh time in the day to get every thing done that you wanted to do".
Now that I have had 12 years behind me after retiring I find the following, Sleep in an hour or so which I didn't do before, read the whole newspaper
that I only just browsed over before, taking my time with breakfast, Having a 45 minutes snooze after my lunch, doing errands I never
did before as my wife used to do most of the shopping etc, relaxing after dinner, watching some TV and the evening news and the finally off
to bed.
THERE IS NEVER ENOUGH TIME IN THE DAY TO COMPLETE ALL YOU THOUGHT OF DOING WHEN YOU FIRST GOT UP THIS MORNING.
"A truer word was never spoken"

Now that I'm retired, people keep telling me to do something.
That's the same thing my boss used to tell me when I was working.
