Moving to Canada

So what do you guys think about all the talk south of the border of Americans moving to Canada if Trump is elected? Seems that George Clooney, Whoopie Goldberg, Al Sharpton and others say they will leave the US if he is elected. Well who cares? I have seen several You Tube skits made by Canadians that all seem to say no, we don't want you up here. Being a dual citizen myself, I am totally ashamed of the goings on down there. I don't vote down there any more but if I could I would check off the box that says "none of the above". I know there is no such choice, but there should be. I am amazed that these people have no loyalty to their country. Do they really think that Canada is a much better place to live? They never say why. So without getting in to the idologies of any particular candidate, what do you think about the circus and the jumping off the ship?

Re: Moving to Canada

Pete,

I don't know, maybe not wild west enough, if any of those party goers at the bar had a gun it might have saved a few lives.

One thing that came out of it though, both Ob and Hilly-Bill have announced or discovered there are Muslim terrorists, who'd a thought.  Though, last I heard they have not said this was the act of a Muslim terrorist.  After all according to Ob and Hilly-Bill the 13 people killed in Fort Hood in 2009 were the result of workplace violence, not a Muslim terrorist.

Remember Ob has practically eliminated middle-eastern terrorisim in our time, and ISIL (he can't say ISIS can he) is just the JV, nothing to worry about.  And I am sure they will eventually relalize they are "on the wrong side of history" and become productive happy members of the global community.

Oh yeah,

Charles

Re: Moving to Canada

That is exactly why the US must not elect the "witch". She will only continue on with the present executive policies and finish off all citizen freedoms. Guns do not kill people. I have yet seen just one gun jump up from a pile of them and shoot someone. People kill people and this idiot was radicalized for sure. He was a radical Muslim, not a radical Christian or Buddhist. The Muslim religion, and I use that term loosely, is not a peaceful one, especially when one of the tenants of it is to either convert all Christians to Muslim or kill them. Trump is radical too, but in a good way I think.

Meanwhile now we in Canada have a right to assisted dying law on the books. It just passed. I have not read the whole deal yet, but now a person has the right to have a doctor assist in a dignified death as opposed to forced feeding, life support and pain and suffering from a terminal illness.

Could be another good reason to come to Canada.

Re: Moving to Canada

If that TW@T clinton gets in, every non supporter (of her) will be requesting assisted suicide by their doctors...even if they don't have terminal disease.

If you go onto yahoo.com , you'll see a link to headlines/top stories or whatnot and there is a isis kill list against canadians. supposedly it has people who's email accounts were hacked. un-nerving none the less.

I was reading about guns in canada and I can get my little friend, the AR-15. It is a restricted firearm but just involves a bit more paperwork or something. Like other rifles, it is limited to a 5 round mag. So....that kinda makes it difficult in takiing out greasers inbtween mag changes.  heheh.

Kinda weird, in principle it is no different than a hunting rifle. but is considered restricted. Maybe skip some of the paperwork and just get a 30 odd 8.

Pete would understand my favortism toward the AR.  😉

not a prarie gun slinger yet....

Re: Moving to Canada

What is Canada so afraid of? A 5 round magazine for th AR? I'm laughing and so is my bro in California with his 15 round mags for his M4 (same as the Ar15). He actually has a 30 round mag too which you can get in Arizona, but not in California.

The next funny thing is the limit to the power of even an air gun. My Crossman BB pistol has only an FPS of 200. Would feel like a finger snap on your skin. The most powerful air rifle that you can get is limited to 495 FPS. You can get an air rifle with more power, but you have to get your fire arms permit for it, just as if it were a hunting rifle like a 270 or 30-30. Silly!

Re: Moving to Canada

Just thought of this. No licence, permits, rcmp list,etc...trip to Home Depot and buy a nail gun.

Re: Moving to Canada

And while we are looking for home defense weapons (I really like the nail gun idea which I'll pass along to my bro), mace is illegal here. So let's all go down to Home Hardware and get a few cans of Wilson One Shot wasp/hornet spray. The one shot has a range of 20 feet and trust me that it will knock down a flying wasp in a heart beat. Imagine what it would do in an eye. Ouch!

Going back to the nail gun, do they have a kind that stores a charge so you don't have to keep the compressor going all night?

Re: Moving to Canada

I'll stick with the wasp spray. A lot cheaper and easier to transport. We have bear spray here too.

Re: Moving to Canada

Now we have a pending postal strike. The poor carriers and sorters aren't making enough money at an average of $25 per hour, and you don't even need an education to get the job. Our bills are paid on line but I'll miss getting my magazines and packages of kits and model supplies. You know I hate to say this but even with two college degrees I never made $25 per hour. Oh and here is another bitch by the union: women are paid only $18 per hour for the same job as the men. The govt. which runs the P.O. says this is OK. Canada. The land of equality.

Re: Moving to Canada

I have a friend here who thinks that Obama and Hillary are the greatest people to ever live on the planet. Obama is the best President the US has ever had and he is sure that Hillary will continue on with his far reaching progressive programs. I told him he should move to the US and see how he likes the Obamacare health plan vs. our Canadian system. I don't think we are friends any more. And I thought he was an educated man.

Re: Moving to Canada

Yea, I had a friend down east that I forwarded some obama cartoons to him.  He responded with what did obama do to me? and if I was hanging out with Ted Nugent.

I think if the avg Cdn just watched normal news and don't have any friends from the US then they have no real clue

Plus... do you have to be a complete to watch the news and when hillary f**ked up in benghazi, she was at a podium saying she screwed up, and that was it. She wasn't fired or anything. How can anyone buy that BS.  Total incompetence. If a soldier screwed up and got fellow soldiers killed, he'd prob be court martialled and lucky if he comes out with a job.

Shouldnt throw rocks I guess considering our own leader in Canada is a complete boob.

Re: Moving to Canada

Soros owns the Democratic party and has contributed billions to the Clinton Foundation, a total fraud that is just used to get Hillary elected. The foundation has done nothing philanthropic as far as I know, at least there has been nothing in the press to celebrate their donation. It's just a front for a super-pac for crooked Hillary. Soros owns the media too so you know that Trump will not get much exposure or just negative if any. Soros is the puppet master who holds Obama's strings and he will also control Hillary. He must be stopped. There is only one way to do it........do not elect lying Hillary.

So if anyone is coming up, better do it before the northern wall gets built..........Smiley Very Happy

Re: Moving to Canada

Pete,

You were very polite to your "friend."  Over the years I have known people would ask your friend what they have been smoking...  Well your friend would wonder what the question meant, because of course we know what he is smoking...  (I suppose...).  These guys are really living in a pretend world or they are just power seeking tyrannical liars more that happy to collect as many brain numbed followers as they can.

What a mess,

Charles

Re: Moving to Canada

My brother in San Diego is stocking up on ammo for his arsenal. He is positive that the witch (with a B) will never be elected, but he is getting ready anyway. Where he lives it is mostly a military area and two of his neighbors are still active Marine snipers. California has recently passed some restrictive laws concerning the purchase of ammo, so there is a mass movement each weekend to travel to Arizona to buy ammo. The witch will try to abolish the 2nd amendment. Can't be done. We should be so lucky as to have that privilege in Canada. Canada, the land of peaceniks. Check your guns at the border please.
