Holdens built before 1980 are OK any Falcon is worth owning, I have two and have had quite a few over the years, I used to be quite partial to FJ Holdens in my youth, you probably don't know what they are but they were the biggest child conception contraption in their time LOL, and I do dislike TUNERS, like what is that anyway. ]:)

I too used to watch OC Choppers and Boyd's show. Actually got tired of the constant strife in both shows and gave up. It seemed like they hardly ever finished a project on time or as planned. But that is "reality" TV and why I don't watch any of the present popular shows. B-) The Sourpuss

Pete are these - Evergreen Hill Designs - buildings hard to build craftsmen kits or would they be considered similar to branchline kits? Gene

Here is a link to what I am thinking about. I would be altering it somewhat to replicate the building my grandfather built a store with an upstairs apartment where I spent most of my young years getting "experience". Gene, First, this in an HO kit, not N. It is also a time consuming board on board kit. There are few laser cut parts in these kits. You have do measure and cut stripwood to build most of these kits. Not for the in a hurry builder. It's all wood with pewter details. I would not suggest this kit for you. B-)

Thanks Pete, HO didn't matter as I was going to bash it anyway but I found a much better kit that almost is exactly what I am looking for in N Scale from Wig Wag. It is Barb's Bungalow. It should be easy and I will have to modify the back of it some to look like the picture I have of the store. The porch will have to be rearranged slightly too but that should be pretty easy as well. Deep pockets and no sense. Check out his FB and you will see he is collecting the whole graffiti series, some at big prices too. This one is the biggest so far. Just boggles my mind. SmileyCentral.com

Gotta wonder if there is a true value to rolling stock? I know there are trading card magazines dedicated to baseball cards for value but I am skeptical of those as I could have a #### card that is 'worth' $1000, but is there an institute or museum that will write you a cheque. I think it is false-hope for value. I think the cards are worth only as much as someone is willing to pay for it. Maybe someone in the card business could tell me that there are prospective buyers always looking to pay market price for the cards. This guy could be rolling the dice on getting these grafitti cars in hopes of them becoming valuable. A lot of speculation as how many train collectors are there that like the grafitti series. I have a feeling that it is a small market. (maybe that is what will make them valuable perhaps) I think the mainstream collector series stands a better chance like the state cars and province cars.

all these "COLLECTOR" cars are way out of my field, I have some hard to get cars that still travers the layout, collecting a hobby is just that, I have diecast cars that are rated heaps more than I paid for them and I keep getting asked how much would I have to be offered to sell some of them, I collect for ME not for the seller value, but $301 for a autorack is totally unbelievable, I bet the seller is rubbing his hands together all the way to the bank. ]:)

Either a person collects the car or they run them. Their is no collecting and running the same car obviously. I'm trying to collect all the BN merger RRs and Cdn RRs for normal prices, scale test cars, and the provincial set but that's it. The rest are runners. I can't afford to (nor do I want to) shell out $65 for a NSC collector car or the grafitti set,etc... I see enuf of that here for one, and two, I'll do my own grafitti for free. WHat's cooler than having a collector car? Knowing that a select few people around the world have one/some of your custom painted locos.

I can attest to that, there are a few in the states, a few in Canada and quite a few spread through Australia, and even quite a few pieces of rolling stock and what is even better, when they ask for more to be done, makes you feel proud. ]:)
