Re: Have you seen this #2

Pete,

It is pi day as in 3.1415... etc. the ratio of the circumference to the diameter etc.  It has become a popular day for some of us geeks...

All the best,

Charles

Re: Have you seen this #2

How about a listing in the missed it by that much area, this listing had a BIN of $19.99 before someone put in a starting bid:

I was thinking about trying the BIN, oh well...

Re: Have you seen this #2

I usually just do the BIN if I am interested at all. It seems stupid to bid lower than the BIN and start a bidding war that we all know will result in a higher sale price. Good for the sell, bad for the buyer.

So on PI day do you make a special pie for dessert? Or do you just order a pizza pie to be delivered? There must be some special dish or way to celebrate PI day.........Smiley Very Happy

Re: Have you seen this #2

Pete,

Some people do lots of pi stuff, we usually don't do much, but this year we are making a pumpkin pie and meat pie for dinner.

This pi day is actually a century pi day with 3.1415, but each March 14 is a pi day, just the year normally does not add to pi.

All the best,

Charles

Re: Have you seen this #2

Remember what I call creep bids?  Where someone does not know their own maximum bid and they keep bidding higher trying to out bid the high bid?  How about this, member h***n tries 13 bids to bid higher than g***a.  Poor old g***a should have bid at the last second and would have saved a bundle!!!  (good for the seller though...)

It was this item:

That is rediculous! You have to know your limitations. (Excuse me Dirty Harry.) And he bid with a lot of time left in the auction.

Hey all,

How about a new scale N Scale semi operating coupler?

I made a quick drawing from MT's diagram just to look at, here it is compared to my drawing of the MT Z Scale coupler:

Looks nice, will need good track work to keep it connected....

All the best,
