iPhone 6s IOS issues

My iphone IOS is fully updated, but not enough to download this new eBay update. Hence, the app no longer works, and I have to open in a browser to sign in.

Theoretically, I should be able to continue using the previous version of the app? Should an update be a choice, and not forced? I’ve had no issues using the previous version on my iPhone, and have done so for a long time. But now it appears redundant to me. 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated 👍

If your device is running iOS 12 you might be able to install an older version from the App Store 

• Delete the ebay app from the device
• Open the app store app
• Tap account button
• Tap Purchased
• Scroll to the eBay app and tap the cloud and down arrow icon
