Now when there's a blue dot next to a saved search, indicating new results; when I open it, instead of loading only the new results, it loads all the results. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app but no dice. I'm on iPadOS 14.8

Exactly the same problem..tried the same as you with no change.
Have you tried anything else or contacted eBay?

I've been having the same issue; I tried posting in the technical issues board in hopes someone from eBay may actually see this. Maybe try posting there to get some more attention?
I hope this gets fixed soon.

1. is it all searches that are not working?
2. With a search that is not working could you tap the three dots to the right of the search and share the search and send that search to iosfeedback@ebay.com.

It appears to be all searches that are not working for me; both searches for categories and searches for words/phrases as well. I will send an email with some of the shared searches.
